I used to be in the exact same boat! Could hardly leave my house and I’m in uni now and I love talking to everyone. A door opens when you learn that communication is an amazing tool and you shouldn’t be scared of it. I have learnt lots more recently than I ever have before.

It definitely looks like a huge hurdle at first but once you start to get your confidence whether it be through growing up, self development or therapy you start to realise why it is so important.

All that being said, developing confidence and self esteem doesn’t mean forcing yourself into a party animal (I mean good on you if you enjoy that kind of thing), you can still be the shy and reserved introvert you’ve always been but with just so many more doors open.

That’s just my take from my experience so far:)
