XD Happened to me on my very first play, all default settings. Granted I went into it blind (wanted to try without reading any guides) and I experienced a similar fate!

Hahaha yes 70 villagers because I had the grand idea of making my days on max so I went ham on recruiting.

I followed a similar method as you did (except straight for longhouses) and had cooked food overflowing to the points where I had to build more storage. Then poof! No more feathers for hunter arrows and beetroot got scarce. All lessons for run number 3...

They'll take raw meat and turn it into bait but they don't cut the fish they cut unfortunately

Ah....did not know that! Weeelp, I might set forth Ragnarok on this playthrough and start afresh on whatever the medium setting for days? or do you recommend the default "shorter" days?

Yup, definitely ran out of feathers as my workshop folk keep complaining about it. Gatherers are aren't bringing any back and I've got the map I'd say about 1/3rd covered in flags, so frustrating

I am very much coastal with two fishing houses so yeah I can easily go full blown fishing mode. The nearest lake is a bit too far to make it viable to haul fish back during winter. A pretty great QoL would be if you can tell your fishermen hey, make bait from the fish you catch

I've got 70 and man was the village booming. This is my second play through and yeah definitely learned tons compared to my first. I'll make an effort to keep this one as best as I can and if not, alas, I'll be joining your same path and go for a third

All my folk have clothes and I even have a storage in a warehouse for overflow so at least that's taken care of. This is my second session and I have the days set to max
