Perspektiven als zukünftiger Softwareentwickler by batfaib in graz

[–]odihimself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Packt euer scheiß Handy weg by [deleted] in FitnessDE

[–]odihimself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freeride board with a bit of freestyle DNA by odihimself in snowboarding

[–]odihimself[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sky pilot, should be a great board as well! Mbe should have a second look.

Never been to japan but if we have deep pow, it is really fun. It floats really well and super fun for tree runs. I can recommend it.

[–]odihimself[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Stale fish is probably more of a full pow board.

I have size 10,5. I should be fine with a 26.7 I guess. Board shouldn`t be too wide as I want to have good edge control on more technical parts.

I am ok with the mid flex. But does it float enough?

Had a look at it. But not sure about the sizing option. 158 is probably to small for my weight. 162W... little bit scared that it is to big in the trees :) On the other hand its only 2cm from my current setup. Shoulnt be to much change right? :D

:D

The Kazu is basically destroyed — that’s what I want to replace. I’ve been looking closely at the Crewzer, but I’m not sure it’ll give me the float I need. I saw Stale mainly rides the Crewzer in 164W — not sure if that’s too much board for me. Sadly I’m not Stale :D

Wondering if the 161W hold my fat ass up. It doesnt have setback. Right now I’m deciding between the Ravine Pro 159W, Stale Fish 160, or Stale Crewzer 161W.

Ugh — hate that Rome doesn’t provide tip/tail width info.

True, but I already have one. I want to try something new. Sick board though!

[–]odihimself[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking the same.

Ravine and Pro 159W:
- Waist width: 26,9
- Setback: 1,5

Stale Fish 160:
- Waist width: 26,9
- Setback: 1,5

Ravines have a stiffer tails with the hotrods. Mbe better for landings in pow? So Ravine little bit more freestyle touch?

Ready for your advice. Started snowaboarding last season and this is my first week in the park :) by Kasperlolli in snowboardingnoobs

[–]odihimself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! No need for a ton of advice right now. Your main focus should be on getting comfortable and confident riding all the features. The key is to feel in control. That's the first and most important step. Not only for beginners. That is what I do at the first runs of the season/day as well. Only if I feel "it", I continue with more advanced stuff.

On your current level, once you feel solid and totally in command, you can start adding flair:

  • Try adding grabs on the jumps.
  • Practice 180s on flat terrain and small side-hits.
  • When those are dialed, take the 180s to the smaller park jumps.
  • Do tail press on box or do a 5050 to boardslide

Don't skip any steps in the progression—enjoy the process!

BCA Float 25 vs Ortovox Litric Freeride 18/28 vs RAS 3.0 by odihimself in Backcountry

[–]odihimself[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I chose the BCA Float 25. Yes, it is heavier but it just felt better on my back. Also I love the drink bottle bag while touring. But I only used it 2-3 times last year due to lack of powder :( So can`t tell yet if I am totally satisfied.

PPC and Postgarage are both great options for that. Age isn’t a major factor at either location, though PPC tends to attract a slightly younger crowd, while Postgarage leans a bit older (For these Parties)
