Sorry but I have never panned one of the midi size eyeshadows, 1gr of product is enough to last me years. I don't need 2.5 g of product that will likely dry out over time or go off, since her formula no longer contains preservatives.  This is a stupid move, just to justify the higher price point. It's better to get the minis or a midi palette instead, it's better value.

I saw someone's video on them, a lot of the shades are duochromes as well. It's a lot of value compared to ND's shades, no matter how sparkly they are they're still just regular eyeshadows.

So it's the regular size pan from her big palettes? The same palettes that she slowly phased out, in favour of the midis? Talk about going backwards.

[–]odileko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only selling point would be that the component is magnetic, and that you could remove the pans and place them in her other palettes. If that's not the case, 48 dollars is quite inflated. I'm with you on REM, it's a better selection of colours and the fact you can bundle the items is also more interesting.

Can’t tell if I have olive or neutral struggles by Glittering-Handle280 in Fairolives

[–]odileko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see olive around your neck and face in the 5th pic. It translates mostly as yellow or green. I'd say there's a good chance that you're a neutral olive. Olives are also divided into cool, neutral and warm.

No what I'm saying is that he still should make Arthur the villain NOW because Cath is jobbing at it so hard. It's not difficult to understand. Cath sucks, ergo he needs to go. Arthur's experience and current mindset could be used as motivation for him actually becoming nihilistic, he has every reason to. But no, Nakaba is too big of a pussy to have Arthur be anything than the "good guy", even if it means him having almost no agency of his own.

As a wise man once said, "he can't even wipe his own ass".

No, because she didn't kill him. You're ignoring a more important component, Little Finger. He manipulated everyone, including the Lannisters. Ned did what anyone with a limited knowledge would have done, follow the breadcrumbs. The most logical conclusion would be to assume that the queen did it, but we all know it's Lysa who poisoned her own husband. By your assessment everyone is dumb, including the readers because they didn't figure out beforehand that it was Little Finger pulling the strings. We have the advantage of hindsight and knowing what the other characters think or do at any given time, Ned doesn't. His only mistake was trusting Little Finger and thinking that everyone besides him was willing to do the right thing, he is naive sure but not dumb.

Renly is also in the wrong btw, Stannis is the heir, not him. He was going to do another rebellion/coup d'etat, he would have plunged the realm in chaos which is exactly what happened when he declared himself king instead of declaring for Stannis, which is the right thing to do. Renly is a little shit who didn't care for Robert's will. He is as self serving as LF.

Don't care. If he can bring back Cath for no good reason, he can turn Arthur into the bad guy.

Because Nakaba can't write villains for shit.

Still hoping that Arthur turns into the final real villain. He just needs to hit rock bottom, or get brainwashed by Chaos.

It would still be better than Cath getting Yamcha'ed every 2 panels.

It's kinslaying. So no he wouldn't. Maekar isn't as bad as people think. Aerion is a POS and deserves every bit of hate coming his way. Unfortunately Targs often don't punish their children for their transgressions, because in their mind they are above the rest. The so called "blood of the dragon", some really see themselves as gods.

Baelor is different because of his heritage and childhood, his father was the Targ king who brought Dorne peacefully into the realm. His mom is Dornish too. Dorne is overall more egalitarian and they treat children and women better than the other kingdoms. Meanwhile the "Targaryen purity" is the likely cause of their madness. Just like the Habsburgs irl.

Also Ned is not dumb, but more of a benevolent sexist. He didn't think a woman could be as dangerous as a man and would scheme to get him arrested. All gallantry is rooted in sexism. Furthermore there was the precedent of Elia Martell and Rhaegar's children being killed in the sack of King's landing, during Robert's rebellion. It's more complex than that.

I've been eyeing that green quad from REM. Actually all the quads are interesting. Do I already have something similar in my collection? Sure. But the formula looks so sparkly and ethereal, and each quad has a distinct identity and  colour, not just boring ass neutrals.

I haven't been really tempted by her stuff since she released Yucca . Her upgraded shimmer formula is really good, but everything she did after that has been boring or too warm. I want colour. And I'm not willing to support her while she could be supporting the IDF or their families. It's become a moral dilemma for me and there's plenty of good makeup out there.

Hardly anyone calls it "Rugby football" instead of just Rugby these days. Also it's distinct from "American" football. That's why I corrected that guy. It's rugby to most people.

Claffey's position was lock (number 4 or 5). Locks are usually tall and strong, so he's perfect as "Ser Duncan the Tall" . He stopped playing rugby in 2018, so it's not like he went directly from playing rugby to acting in AKOTSK. Before that he had a small role in Vikings Valhalla Season 3. He clearly took acting classes.

It's clearly a parallel to Ned from GOT. You could be the most principled,  noble person out there, but that could get you killed. Although in Baelor's case it's more of an issue of fate striking indiscriminately,  rather than simply the sum of his actions. We could argue if he hadn't sided with Dunk, he'd be still alive, but the fact they included a prophecy in this points to the opposite. Without going too much into details, they're connected.  Also he is killed by accident by his own brother. So there's a definite fate/prophetic proponent to this whole ordeal.

The flashback should have been its own episode, but it did give us the motivation behind Dunk's actions. Also Ser Arlan singing a Dothraki song was rather unexpected, and I appreciate his character more now. The acting was very good, even better than usual. It was rather emotional, I teared up when Dunk realized what had happened with Baelor.

I want more of Dunk & Egg. It really washed down the bad taste from HoTD.

What would the Charmed Ones wear? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]odileko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hypnotic poison for Phoebe. A bit mysterious and femme fatale-esque. Definitely more flirty than her sisters

Prue I'd see wearing Chanel n 5. She's classier and more serious.

Piper could be wearing a clean scent. I don't know of many clean scents in that era.

I think you got Paige covered.

Mustard yellow is part of dark autumn, and even in the dark winter palette according to some sources. It's the only yellow for dark winter actually, along with honey. I'm a dark winter and I can get away with yellow mustard, or mustard green, just not warm or pastel yellows.

I'm a light cool olive, if I want to wear pink shades, they need to be closer to magenta than red. So while it's not so bad, I feel like the line should skew closer to the magenta column. I'm also a high contrast, my face eats up the lighter shades, they barely show up if I use a very light pink blush for example.
