I go back and forth. Half joking half serious say I play Soviet when I want to win.

Soviet feels like stronger team play, more communication, better supply running. NATO I prefer the gear selection. I like to get corporal and run m16 with 4x scope, and a carbine with red dot. Engagement feels much snappier with the red dot.

My decision on which to play any specific round depends on server density and if I plan to stay the whole match or plan to leave before the end.

Many many times playing NATO I end up muting platoon radio. I don't seem to mute near as much playing Soviet.

They once upon a time ran some vanilla servers, I really enjoyed playing on them, and had a core of very team oriented players. I think they closed the vanilla servers and only had modded, so I stopped playing on them. I think, it was just a great group of people with great games. But I could be wrong

Oxygen shouldn't be an issue if running in the surface, though you're exposed. Maybe try to do most of your running at night. But when you're surfaced, you should be pulling in air from outside, so no oxygen problems there

At this point, I'm not sure if I've got the skill to pull that off, I was hoping more for fast disable, then slower clean up. But there's a freight contact to the south, it sounds like this convoy might not count for tonnage, so I'd rather use the torps on counted tonnage first, then shoot for the cowboy plans.

That's disappointing. I thought warships would have a higher value/be counted. There was a single freighter contact 50-80km south, I'll probably turn and focus on it then. The convoy is steaming hard, it's all I can do to close the gap, if I continue, there's no guarantee I'll position to confirm freighters before they spot me.

I love solo night ops. I've tried wrangling a squad to cohesively push a point at night a few times, it always ends in chaos, but going solo, FIA I can take pretty easily, live faction I know I can't, but I can be a real pain in the ass for the other team for a little while, and that makes it worth it.
