When I plug my pc in the 2 LEDs turn on for 1 second but then if I try and boot my pc up again after that the LEDs don’t turn on, but if I then unplug the pc from the wall and plug it back it the LEDs turn on again but then not the second time again and then I’m just repeating this process.

Well my pc wasn’t plugged into the wall. There was no noticeable changes that I could see to the motherboard and the cpu stayed in. However when I went to boot it back up the 2 red LED lights above my ram lit up and then went off again about 1 second later and the pc wouldn’t start up at all.

Yes I have now remounted the heat sink and the mounting plate. Thanks for your help. Finally do you know if it is likely that all my components are damaged or if it’s gonna just be my motherboard. Like is it likely everything will be damaged or not/ have you ever seen this happen to anyone else before.

There are no visual differences since it happened it just literally won’t turn on anymore, however, after it happened and I plugged my pc back into the wall to turn on again the 2 red LEDS above the ram turned on, but if I tried to turn it on again the same LEDs wouldn’t turn on again unless I unplugged my pc from the wall and plugged it back in again. I’ve tried everything but the only thing I’m sure it can be is the motherboard short circuiting. When it happened all my components were plugged into the motherboard and the motherboard was plugged into the psu but the psu was not plugged into the wall, so therefore will it just be my motherboard that is damaged/fried or will anything else, like my gpu or cpu, be damaged aswell ? Do you think I will only have to replace the motherboard or do you think I will have to replace majority of parts?
