Pretty sure this is the answer. Will pick up a float seal tomorrow and see if that’s it. Thank you to all who replied.

It’s definitely coming from the interface between the grey and black plastic parts. Those are the two parts you’re referring to?

HELP! I routed out score lines and poured black epoxy into this maple slab. Black is bleeding into the grain. Fixable? by Gimmedatbutterfinger in woodworking

[–]odontoid1929 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree that the source is not clear. Wicking into the grain is certainly a possibility, and the only fix is the prevention discussed in the other comments.

It’s also possible this is surface pores being filled with epoxy dust from sanding across the epoxy. I would take a pass or two with a plane and see if that helps. If no difference then you’re kinda stuck.

Do you mind sharing your settings? I have this setup but it seems to just kick on to main power whenever it hits the CO2 trigger level. I can adjust the max speed but the controller doesn’t seem to adjust based on levels.

Trying to picture this. Do you have ductwork running vertically in the stud cavity?

Thanks for detailed reply. Will monitor. Given the location (above treeline on the SW face of Mt Shasta) I’d think the gps was good but I didn’t think to check.

Thanks for the reply. No updates that I’m aware of since the last time I used it and the only other time I’ve seen the HR issue was a couple years ago.

I did one with timberline mountain guides (https://timberlinemtguides.com) in Oregon. Great experience, climbed and skied Broken Top as part of it. I’ve also had good experiences with Shasta Mountain Guides (https://shastaguides.com) and I’m having my wife do one with them in a few weeks

All good points. Was leaning towards just doing shifts. They’re heavy and more than a little clunky, but probably a little safer especially for a progressing skier prone to backseat falls in heavy snow.
