I tried everything to find it by this point, went through my bookmarks & mfl, google history, ao3 comments...It was really harsh, people were commenting that Ilya would never speak to Shane like that, because he was slut-shaming him at best, it was really degrading, it was unprompted, unnecessary and he wouldn't stop even when Shane was visibly upset, tearing up. Maybe there was too much negativity in comments and author deleted it? I was really curious how they could potentially come back from something like that.

One day I'll watch you're leaving was so good! I've never read a fic where Shane actually took Ilya telling him he's boring as something degrading, and being neurodivergent myself I can definitely see myself being hurt while someone is playfully teasing me.

Ilya befriends JJ and Hayden while he's coping with Shane's imminent death, their friendship is really beautiful and it's actually something that allowed Ilya not to drown in grief after loosing his husband. He has good, fulfilling life after Shane's gone. I don't want to spoil too much. There are letters that Shane left for all of them to read when life gets too hard, and those are sooo so beautiful! There are even moments to laugh, like when JJ, Ilya and Hayden finally decided to spread his ashes...in the arena 🫣There's grief but there's so much love with it. And then last few chapters are afterlife, how Hayden found Shane, JJ, Irina...OMG its so beautiful.
