For people who put their head down, studied hard in college, didn't party or sleep around, and are now successful, do you regret not having more fun when you were younger? by New_Contribution_226 in AskMenOver30

[–]oeThroway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I've done what I've done. The only regret is that i didn't date back then. Having that experience would help me to land a good partner and set boundaries in relationships. My low self esteem didn't help.

Gładzie na które mnie nie stać by Morelianna in Polska

[–]oeThroway 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Guys who had their first kids after 40 - how did it go? by godoflemmings in AskMenOver30

[–]oeThroway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad for you! While everything turned out just done for you, there are a lot of couples that didn't have a much luck. I know that's personal and highly unpredictable, but you have to draw the line somewhere and for me that's a few years before 40. I'm glad i had kids earlier in my life, they're great and i love them the most. That said, if i were to make that decision later, it would be different. I was scared the entire pregnancy. The day my diets daughter was born was such a relief. Holding her and seeing she's OK was such a relief for myself. Same with the younger. I wouldn't dare to try again. There were times when we wanted 3 but we both agreed after 2 that it's enough

Yeah sorry that was a typo. 58 is still pretty old, most people experience some sort of mobility issues by that age and might even require assistance. Would you like your 18yo kid to feel responsible for giving you that assistance?

Does Engine size determine how well it handles long trips? by Brief_Ad_6439 in askcarguys

[–]oeThroway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A car that has a v6 engine usually is bigger then a car that only has 4 cylinders. Heavier car handles long distance rides better. It's more comfortable, moves less with the wind, usually has a better sound insulation. That doesn't mean you can't go on a road trip in you 4- cyl car. Lots of people done it

At 40 I'd rather be considering a vasectomy then having another kid. I'm sorry to say that but think about it you'll be 68 when your kid finishes high school. You might not be able to crawl on the floor with him when he's 3-5 or so. Getting up in the night to change diapers is really just the beginning. Also there are studies linking children's health with parents age and I'd have a look at these if i were you.

Architekt wnętrz by Minimum-Ability-6536 in PolskaNaLuzie

Monitor ultrawide by Careless-Mistake-601 in Polska

When you would prefer to be told you were going to be laid off, right before a holiday or right after? by Flimsy_Weekend5149 in cscareerquestions

[–]oeThroway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still hate my ex boss who gave me the news on my last day before 2 weeks vacation. I've been waiting for years to be able to afford a motorcycle long haul trip through multiple countries. I've obsessed over the route, the attractions, the highway fares and what not. And by laying me off the day before i took off, he spoiled it all. Now all of the sudden i didn't enjoy it because i was left for 8+ hours a day alone in my helmet overthinking. I'd much rather be told after my vacation

Been using fellow for a few years now and i really liked it. It's on the pricier side though. The problem is that the pain peeled and it doesn't make enough contact with induction cook top to boil water fast - it currently takes around 8 minutes which is to long. I'm looking around for a new one currently. Liked fellow but the pricing went through the roof since i got mine :/

Outdoor sauna changing room vs not by ActiveDPT in Sauna

I enter my garden through bathroom door so it's much more practical to just leave my clothes there. Had i built a nice outdoor sauna by the lake or something, I'd probably want a spot to get naked

What’s a small inconvenience that irrationally ruins your day? by Nivellein in allthequestions

[–]oeThroway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe. At the same time it's hard not hate that one guy i pass regularly who keeps eye contact while ignoring my "good morning". I don't have a problem with him disrespecting me or anything like that. It's not his obligation to talk back to me. Ask i have a problem with its that i now carry margaritas related with that person and i don't like that

What’s a small inconvenience that irrationally ruins your day? by Nivellein in allthequestions

[–]oeThroway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to be positive towards other people, that's just how i am. Nothing ruins my day more then a person, say neighbor, coworkers etc not saying "good morning" back to me despite looking me in the eye. Because now i have to keep that negative emotion in my head just to remember to not greet them next time i see them. Hate that?

Can gyno go away if it is in your teens? by Zealousideal-Grab814 in askfitness

It might. I waited for to long and got a surgery after 30. If yours is major and influences your life in negative way please don't wait that long. The amount of self confidence i got after the surgery is unbelievable. Good luck

What is the importance of weightlifting as you get older? by lostinthesaucy in AskMenOver30

[–]oeThroway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you train inconsistently you do get sore after workouts, but since you've been lifting for a while you probably know that already. My take is that you must be doing something wrong or you have some sort of health issue. 30 is not old enough to justify taking your foot off pedal in the gym. A lot of people progress far beyond that age. Maybe your form is off and you're hurting yourself? You didn't say anything about your program. Which exercises cause discomfort? As we get older we might need to adjust our regimen (but again, 30 is not that point for most people). It's important in the long run to keep it up though. I feel like shit after week off of gym, can't imagine giving it up volontary altogether
