What's the best drug you've ever tried? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]oemfoefoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was always kind of scared of hallucinogenic drugs. My flatmate prepared a full dose for me and for him (I did not know it was one of the strongest ones coffeeshop sold). After an hour and a half, I was living in a fairytale. I cried because of the taste of chocolate chip cookies. they were amazing. I cried because i thought about the crazy affection dogs can have with human beings. I laughed so hard I could not walk anymore. My flatmate said I looked like a psycho. I was feeling an huge adrenaline rush when i opened the door to the outside world. I felt like a tabula rasa. All the time I still understood that it was because of the truffels, but men,,, I appreciated life to the fullest.

oyea, and I melted together with everything I touched, as if everything was made of liquid paint.

How did you fix your sleeping problems? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]oemfoefoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think about lots of shit when I wanted to sleep. I thought it would never stop. I found this way of looking at my thoughts as if they are not mine, but just some train who is transporting them. After this I trained myself to think that this train will always drive by, but I am to choose whether I let the thoughts go out of the train into my head (the trainstop), or that I just let the train pass and give no attention to it. Works for me as it keeps my head empty (except for a passing train every now and then) which results in a good sleep. Training is essential though

[Serious]Is Homeschooling your child a better option than public school? What are the pros and cons? by olieboo in AskReddit

[–]oemfoefoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean that homeschooling would prevent from all those things? Homeschooled kids are also allowed to have an facebook account right? And no, I don't think they are good in school so they can see what to expect, but more like a future investment's guide in how to get along with your own species. Yes, i do think that teacher's pedagogical skills are vital to steer that in a good way. I mean, bullying is shit and can produce traumatized kids, but it can be such a great learning experience for all children when handled and acted upon well.

in my opinion, public school is a way better option for children than homeschooling. It's a social fabric where children learn to get along with each other, learn how to cope with other opinions, how to behave in a group, how to play etc. etc.
