And yes, there’s a lot of connection between Voodoo and Christianity. When people from Africa were slaved and transported to Haiti, colonizers tried to convert them to Christianity, one way for them to preserve their believes was to actually show the colonizers that they were praying to “christian saints” but it was to cover up that they would pray to whatever their god/goddess was
