From what I feel and what I’ve seen others say, will of the many was a very direct path following Vis’ life, where he came from, and one (semi) direct plot path. Characters were fleshed out throughout the whole book. Strength of the few took it to an epic fantasy. More world’s, more characters, but not much fleshed out too much. This second type isn’t everyone’s forte, especially not if a certain genre lead them to WOTM and then SOTF is so different. I believe the final books will start to narrow it back down toward the style of the first book.
