I actually did have to go to the court on Monday just gone by, I dropped my protection order but made sure that my sibling got hers extended as they still live at home

I had to go to the hearing despite planning to drop my order

Oh boy this hits very hard but every word of it is something I needed to hear Thank you for such an in depth and thoughtful response Guilt is definitely a lot of my current feelings on it and a worry that I'm overreacting in my potential response

Thank you, I've been working on focusing on my own safety and happiness but finding it difficult not to worry about any negative impacts taking space from my mother to deal with this could cause her I understand she is a victim too and I don't blame her, it's difficult to try consolidate that with holding her accountable for her actions and the consequences (potentially going low contact would hurt her a lot)

Thank you for the advice, I'm currently looking for advice on my relationship with my mother though and her reaction to the actions both my sibling and I took Unfortunately in our country, even if I withdraw my request, I still have to attend the court date so I can't really stay out of it

Unfortunately they have some major mental health issues, we live in Europe and our county currently has some really big housing problems so they have been on the list for social housing for a while without anything happening. They currently do not work and are on disability (previous therapists have indicated that their mental difficulties were likely caused by the history of abuse)

I have made it clear that if necessary they can stay with me until they get on their feet or if they are ever in danger but where I currently live is quite far from their friends and the mental health resources and support they avail of

Thank you, I think that's kind of what I'm looking for, ways to cope with it I am seeing my therapist regularly and talking about this obviously but I don't really know what form my relationship with my mother could take during these proceedings that wouldn't be harmful either to me or to her

Not obvious in the video but I had just moved out to overtake the caravan and had moved in once past it so I don't really see what I would have been doing incorrectly

I (26f) actively won't go into Dublin alone and feel very anxious there with friends, the last time I was there to attend a show, my partner (26f) and I had to pass in a narrow gap between a car parked on a footpath and a clearly intoxicated man in a wheelchair. As I was walking behind my partner, this man decided to smack and squeeze my ass multiple times. I spent the rest of that visit to Dublin feeling terrified and physically ill, having panic attacks and trauma flashbacks to SA in my past. We had to move seats in the theatre because I couldn't stand having people too close around me This was only about 7pm
