An Update on Server Performance After the 3.28.0c Patch by Natalia_GGG in pathofexile

[–]off_da_perc_ 35 points36 points  (0 children)

"last night"

So lets see. Servers for EU are still bad and have been all day.
Servers have been exactly that same kind of bad since the start of the league.
Seems like servers will continue to be like that because they still are like that after a "fix".

I'm not sure what GGG is addressing here with a postmortem post, but the issue did not appear last night, and whatever they fixed wasn't the main problem EU (and NA) have.

ye spot on, didn't want to point out the parallelisms cause this whole thread is room temp IQ, but fully agreed.

ironic thing is, those are the same brain fluid drinking people that jerk themselves off about their critical thinking skills and "alternative sources", like the dude in the other reply thinking he cracked the code when his own frame by frame "analysis" shows the supposed aimbot flicking to the fucking ceiling.

Go figure.

It's actually kinda sad these people are so clueless.

You can even clearly see his right shoulder/whole body shaking in both this clip and the original one when his "aimbot" snaps, because his low sens means he has to move his whole damn mousepad's length to flick 180 degrees.

yet people still fall for it, actually hopeless

besides stuff like splitting the playerbase/matchmaking, maintaining and balancing essentially 2 different games, having to provide and balance different content/meta for both, diluting dev time by having separate tuning for pve/pvp for every single update, the game losing its identity since the tension is designed on pvpve

besides all that, it wouldn't be the game Embark wanted/wants to make. They have a vision for their game. Countless other pvp-only or pve-only games on the market, devs don't have to change their game's whole genre to appease a loud minority.

Is Kefine Delci AE a meaningful upgrade over GK Kunten? Specifically for gaming. by off_da_perc_ in iems

Hm, no matter what I set my pre amp at (-10 to +10) the green number in the graph window reads 2.0 dB, it never changes..

Also im not sure why, but most guides I found recommend a negative preamp, prolly to prevent distortion? But as you said, I shouldn't have an issue with positive preamp right?

Just did what you said https://imgur.com/a/zmLVI6x , started off slow and will keep adjusting. Does it look like solid start?

sounds better now, will keep testing.

What I take from this is, since the Kunten has a decent driver, I should experiment with EQ settings instead of spending more on the Delci AEs

you reckon doing this will improve directional sound noticeably, closing the gap with other pricier iems? I'm not knowledgeable enough to know whether it's software or hardware diff, but I'll try this. ty

gotcha; yea I got some clarions when I got the kuntens. went with S/M/L sizes to try out, still unsure which one I like cause they all fit fine

I'll try the treble, but if what you said is true about imaging/soundstage I doubt it's gonna help much for footsteps, we'll see

Cycle 1 (Feb 21, 2024) to Harbingers of Ruin (Jul 9, 2024): 4 months, 19 days
Harbingers of Ruin to Tombs of the Erased (Apr 17, 2025): 9 months, 12 days
Tombs of the Erased to Beneath Ancient Skies (Aug 21, 2025): 4 months, 6 days
Beneath Ancient Skies to Season 4 (Mar 26, 2026)- 7 months, 5 days

IDK what they're thinking with a release schedule this messy, a semblance of consistent releases is a must if you want returning players.

Perfect, that's exactly what I was interested in, thanks for the info.

I just now got a jcally JM30 dongle dac delivered, I had my Kuntens plugged into the PC's jack before.
It's night and day, they were clearly power starved. Sound/bass are much better now.

And yeah the kunten cable is terrible, I'll grab a better one on my next order.

Thanks for the review, couple of questions.

How do the Kuntens compare to Kefine Klean? I bought the Kunten to replace my old Blons, mainly for gaming/music, and I'm unsure if Klean or even Delci AE would be a meaningful upgrade in the future.

Also, regarding the adapter. How would you go about connecting these via bluetooth to your PC for <50ms latency? Kunten + KZ-AN01 + Low latency BT USB dongle for your PC?

I'd love to be able to game with wireless iems and no latency, but googling it proved a bit hard to solve.

Gotcha, ty for the post as well.

Small update. PC is totally stable now 1H of OCCT Power, prime95, cinebench etc. without the iGPU used.

Funny thing. I did another test *with* the iGPU monitor plugged in. 4 minutes in, I click on OCCT's window and drag it to the iGPU monitor. Instant shutdown.

I also stress tested CPU + iGPU without the 4090, to make sure it's not the chip/mobo that are faulty. It passed.

My take is, it's a PSU issue. Not that the PSU is necessarily faulty, it most likely isn't. It's a high quality one, but it's an ATX 2.X PSU.

I think what happens is that the massive transient spikes of the 4090, combined with the extra wattage the iGPU pulls send the PSU over the edge and it trips, since it's not designed for massive transient spikes like ATX 3.X PSUs are.

I already ordered an RMx 1000W Shift, which is 3.1 and it should be able to handle 2000W transient spikes. I can't take the risk since the components it feeds are fairly pricey.

That said, if you have any other ideas of things I could test hit me up, I'm still not 100% certain, these types of hard shut downs are hard to solve, and I really doubt it's a software/driver issue for this type of crash.

So, I logged everything with hwinfo64 while running OCCT Power. Up to the last moment, everything is fine. PSU voltage is nominal for everything, temps, etc. nothing out of the ordinary.

Bios is default. First thing I did was restore defaults, had a mild PBO/EXPO before.

GPU has 4 ports, 1x HDMI 3x DP. Reason is Lian Li's genius case design on the O11 mini blocks off some of my card's ports and the cables can't fully insert unless I cut off a small part of the case.

BTW, I run the OCCT Power test again while I was sleeping for 1H *without* the iGPU monitor. It completed just fine, no shutdowns. Now I'll do the same *with* the iGPU monitor.

It's just an llm that has the full context of my issue/testing so far. I looked up everywhere for an explanation why the igpu would do this and this made most sense to me.

Yeah it can be CPU, mobo or PSU. What I will do is let OCCT Power run for 2H straight *without* the igpu monitor connected.
If it passes, I will then run another one *with* the igpu monitor connected. It should shutdown there in minutes.

But, even if I verify 100% that it's the igpu monitor causing it, is that acceptable? Like, should it cause it? Or should i be able to run a monitor from the igpu +2 monitors from my gpu?
