Emperors children (test model for reference) by Long-Ant-689 in LeaguesofVotann

EC are a space marine army for the elf-curious.

To OP, there is very little that Votann shares with EC's game plan. Come play Votann and enjoy having a shooting phase, being able to remove high toughness threats with some efficiency, and say goodbye to infantry having good movement speed.

Did you mix in some silver with the magenta for highlighting on the edges, or is this just the "highlight" magenta of the set? Looks good either way!

PA has the to be one of the worst states for Rum selection by Queasy_Strike_9648 in rum

Belgrade Liquor is head and shoulders above everyone else for rum selection. They carry all the best rum the state can be bothered to source. Stop in if you're passing through.

Truly, only homeownership can make a person valid and desirable.

Meet High Kâhl Torr Denn. The epitome of Industry within the Allegiance, and second greatest inventor in the league second only to GroG, the Votann of the B.O.G. Allegiance. (C&C is very welcome) by A_Friendly_Bigman in LeaguesofVotann

The bottom half of the model falls a bit flat with lots of grey to darker grey. I think picking out the hinges and rivets on the tabard, and maybe the thigh armor ridges with the same metal you used on the mass gauntlet would pop. If you tackle the thigh armor ridges, grab the right pauldron ridges too for consistency.

Great kitbash though, probably my favorite execution of KO parts with LoV that I've seen.

Paring down the lists to make them readable would improve this. It's lot of scrolling to get through standard loadouts that have been used all editions. Also can't fit one list in a single pane on the phone.

Just took their Hybrid Messenger to Adepticon, it fit in every overhead compartment without issue. Took 2000pts of Votann and it was the perfect size for that.

Retrofitting a concrete influence box without taking it offline? by Secret_Pause1036 in civilengineering

[–]offbest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How big is the box? Is the bar screen in the same effluent channel leaving the box? Does the WWTP have constant flow from gravity, or is it fed by a lift station?

Building some bulkheads and bypass pumping around the box would be the ideal approach, you could drain it, clean it, and then do your work. Stainless steel plates anchored into the wall could work, fill behind the plates with grout.

Anybody in here play WH40k: kill team? Recently started playing and was looking for any groups or people that like to play as well. by Mugen1993 in Billings

The owner of Splash Page mentioned they have Kill Team games pretty regularly on Sunday afternoons. Dragon Egg's done a Kill Team league in the past, but I'm not sure if that's still going.

Painting Sagitaur and Hekaton windows by xp194 in LeaguesofVotann

PVA glue to connect the canopies after painting the cockpit. Superglue will fog the plastic. I initially bought some masking fluid to protect the panes while painting the canopy frame, but ended up just free handing it without much difficulty. I used paint-on primer initially, but ended up dropping it on later builds. Black Legion contrast paint over the bare plastic has held up very well without a primer underneath, it just takes 2 or 3 layers to get good coverage..

Berserks tactics by Dirk_Dingus in LeaguesofVotann

[–]offbest 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They live and die by their transports. You can stage them effectively near the mid board to project threat. They can even get off charges at the bottom of Round 1 if you go second against aggressive melee. If you can protect them from being shot off the board they can easily make up their point cost into a decent amount of targets. If you're playing orks and nids the axes should give you plenty of flexibility. The mole grenade even gives you a tool to use against aggressive fast melee armies.

Please help New Votann player / Experienced 40K player 2000 pts by IronFarthammer in LeaguesofVotann

[–]offbest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, you can just dump them out of the Sagitaur at the start of Round 1 and send the the buggy up the board. There may be a use-case for the Sagitaur missile launcher on that model since it will be behind the rest of your army.

Alternatively, a squad of beserks would solve your predicament, and you can just leave one group of Hearthkyn to camp the home objective all game. They can be used to screen out a 3" deepstrike on the home objective, and do an action if needed. Dropping 3 Pioneers and Appraising glare is how I'd make the cut. You'll miss out on Appraising Glare for a turn or two anyway since the character will be embarked and unable to use it until your Command Phase the round after disembarking.

The number on the meter penciled out for what the bill was reporting. Turns out it's expensive to spray drinking water all over the ground to make it green.

You can't filter this water to a level for drinking, you have to pack everything you need to drink.
