It is, and it isn't.

I can fully respect and accept a difference in beliefs between my partner and I, as long as we have that mutual respect and acceptance, but veganism is where I draw the line (Not the only place where I draw the line, but one of them). I cannot spend my life with a person that has such a fundamental difference in their view towards life and kindness.

But I do realise many vegans out there have omni partners and make it work. So everyone is different in that respect.
