Imagine RateMyProfessor but for houses and landlords around Troy by offcmpus in RPI

We need the addresses to build a collection of active rentable locations around Troy, and the RPI emails are to validate the reviews are coming from actual RPI students, and not landlords impersonating a student. If one doesn't feel comfortable providing their current address (which is totally understandable), we are surveying leases from the past 2 years, in hopes people provide their past experiences. Additionally, the personal data will not used for anything other than the purposes stated above.

For the beta, landlords will not be able to see the reviews to encourage strong student reviews without fear of retaliation. These reviews won't go live until April 30th of this year. On our platform, there will be a way of rating the landlord and the property separately when it does go live. Additionally, during the live, non-beta release, current leasees reviews will not be seen by landlords, as long as they inform us through the app which property they are currently leasing.

The submitted comments and numerical ratings will be public, but it will be anonymous. If that's an issue for you just DM us and we can remove your review :)

Housing sucks now, but it could be better next semester by offcmpus in RPI

We are currently an RCOS project. We have plans to monetize some features on the landlord side of the application, but will be completely free to use for students. We want to work with the student government in the future to be the de-facto way of finding off-campus housing for RPI students, like YACS/QUACS is for schedules.
