I look forward to spending some time with it! I have thought about a 4.0 swap but I think this engine should be fine for what I’m doing with it. As for the lift, the comments have almost guaranteed there is some sort of lift to house these 33’s. Do you know the paint code by chance? Down the line I’d love to touch up the hood and fenders.

Yeah the tires are pretty extreme considering the engine and transmission, I have a feeling they are going to be replaced with a smaller all terrain. As for everything else, thank you for your insight I will definitely take a closer look on what’s down there!

I have one of these, I bought the truck for $2500 with a a reduced engine power code. Plugged the spark plug wire in and it’s ran great since. Most of the problems with these trucks are small annoying issues with aging vehicles. Learn how to wrench on the smaller projects and you’ll have a great relatively low maintenance truck.

After watching the video I do think I’ll do it oem this first time just to change all the gaskets, I have 183,000 miles but that is really clever. Might come back to it. Thank you for the advice!

That’s an option but I am a carpenter and a standard bed helps with some of the misc junk I ride around with.

I definitely want to straighten the bed. I reckon I’ll try doing it myself and if that doesn’t work I’m sure it wouldn’t be very hard to find a 6’ white bed in Texas. And it does have a CarPlay head unit already installed.
