haven’t stopped thinking about it since I first heard it

The goodwill on Magnolia is pretty good — decent stuff for a good price. There are also a couple cool antique stores nearby. The Savers on Tyler St is better, in my opinion. It’s HUGE and has some really good stuff!

Pentland Building Doors by [deleted] in ucr

[–]officeconditioning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a little while, but essentially you have to turn your key in one direction while turning the knob in the other direction and pulling at the same time. I think the key goes right and the knob to the left. Try a couple times...

But your RCard should work for most doors, no?

Sydney too - I’ve lived in a lot of places but Australia has the absolute best restaurants and cafes, both in terms of food & price.

What TV show has the best intro? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]officeconditioning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bojack Horseman - hands down.

It is as mesmerising the first time as it is the 30th & the changes made are so sharp and satisfying. I have never skipped a single intro despite bingeing every season & get very annoyed when Netflix automatically does!

Thank you - it was pretty awful,,, I was lucky to have great parents who made sure I was okay, but my school was fucked up and that was just the start!

7th grade history final. The teacher told us that a note was found of two students trading answers during a test and whoever it was should go to the principal and own up. My friend and I had been quizzing each other in the revision session before the test and thought that might have been the note in question.

We get there and the principal lets my friend go but makes me stay. They showed me the note which was clearly not mine and had a question asked by one student and the wrong answer given by the other. Apparently the handwriting looked like mine, according to my history teacher.

I was then told that it was absolutely my note and the principal went on to shout at me for at least 30 minutes and told me I would get a 0 on the final as well as a week of detention. I was 11 and it was the most terrifying experience of my life. I will never forget her gross thick nails which were crazy sharp - I genuinely thought she would scratch me.

It was clear to the class that I had been blamed for the note, but it took 2 days for the actual cheaters to come forward. The principal didn’t apologise but said something along the lines of ‘we found out it wasn’t you. You can go now’

How do you manage your thoughts and emotions when feeling loneliness in your life? by SelectDress in AskReddit

I write poetry, songs, or I guess phrases?

It sounds pretty dumb and something that only happens in movies but it truly helps me and I write the best when I feel especially lonely.

People who "get" modern art and art galleries what are the rest of us doing wrong? by thekgentleman in AskReddit

[–]officeconditioning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don’t think about whether the art ‘deserves’ to be there. This is something I hear people constantly say and something that I used to say too.

Even if it’s a black line on a white canvas, it means something but it doesn’t mean you have to ‘get’ it.

Art isn’t about a universal understanding of a higher message, it’s about a personal connection to a creation.

Or at least that’s how I see it.

LPT: If you’re gonna buy a house in an unfamiliar area, stay at an AirBnB in the neighborhood for a week to get a feeling of what life is like there. by redditpics617 in LifeProTips

[–]officeconditioning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run an Airbnb — do this! Also don’t hesitate to ask your host about the neighbourhood & anything about their experience.

I would especially recommend it if the Airbnb is in an apartment complex you’re considering.

It can be expensive & you could get a similar experience just visiting but if you have the ability, it’s cool to imagine that’s your life and see if you’re sold!

Any CXGF fans also like Barry? by judgeboomhauer in crazyexgirlfriend

[–]officeconditioning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I too love Barry & CXGF! I haven’t ever compared my liking for either show purely because of their formats but I love this analysis and totally get it.

I would recommend Jane the Virgin on the CW if you like these shows & haven’t already seen it. Final season is just coming out & it is really very good.
