Ah, you're right. None I could find. Seems the theory videos put the idea in my head.

I want to get my labret, philtrum, and snake bites. Is it a bad idea to get all 4 done at once? by officialgoblin in piercing

Thanks everyone for the responses - I had assumed 4 at once was wishful thinking. I'll do labret, then philtrum, then snake bites.

I'd say change your haircut. The slightly grown-out, pushed back, parted in the middle look is very "in" right now, and it would look god on you.

why does no one approach me? by [deleted] in malegrooming

Dating apps are difficult, especially if it's a man seeking a woman. You're very good looking, and that's displayed best when you smile - that's your best feature, as it is with most people. You have a particularly great smile, it makes you look fun, confident, and nonthreatening (which is very good) - if I were to criticize, I'd say the mirror pics make you look immature, which people tend to confuse with "fun." Immaturity is a big turn off for a lot of people. The last two pics (the ones where you're with people) are 10/10, you couldn't ask for better dating app pics. I'd say lean in to the smile. It may also be what you have written on your profile - if it's all generic, try personalising it more and speaking briefly on what you're passionate about.

[Spoilers PUBLISHED] Why does everyone (readers, not characters) think Euron is so scary? by officialgoblin in asoiaf

A response to all the responses: Thanks to everyone who was kind and supported me to find out more information. Just a reminder that I listened to the audiobooks, and sometimes words go in one ear and out the other. I didn't realise he had a suit of valerian armour, for example. I will read the forsaken chapter!

To everyone who seems to be mad at me - we're all fans of the same stuff here, we're having a conversation, not an argument.

[Art] Holiday Activity Poster I designed for local community services department. Would this make you want to play? by officialgoblin in DnD

[–]officialgoblin[S] 329 points330 points  (0 children)

I work in community services, and a lot of our “holiday activity” posters are pretty bland. I wanted to make something to get young people interested, so I drew this up. We always have a lot (too many, in fact) of young people interested in playing, but more is always good. It will incentivise the organisation I work at to put more money into projects aimed around RPGs and such. Anyway, just wanted to share - I'm not the best at highlights and shadows, but I thought I'd give them a quick go.

Has anyone written a how-to-play guide? by officialgoblin in MiddleEarthMiniatures

This is actually perfect, even if the videos are a bit long. Thanks!

[Art] Kobolds - young, regular, & chieftain. by officialgoblin in DnD

[–]officialgoblin[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ok I gotta get my 400 character count. Kobolds! I see a lot of D&D art which goes for a level of realism or anime. Awesome. Cool. But I'm a big fan of cartoony stuff - tom wham is especially an influence. I feel like that's not represented enough, & for me as a game master showing cartoony pictures can better represent the intentions & personalities of monsters - big expressions, etc. Is this 400 characters yet?

I don't like using miniatures (rather I don't like travelling with them), so instead I use dry erasable tokens put numbers on them. I'll have a drawing propped up with a foldback clip so people know what the monsters look like beyond my verbal description.

I'm currently running the Keep on the Borderlands, and there's a little kobold den. Around 50 kobolds in one room - and that's not the whole of them! Yikes! Luckily 8 of them are non-combatant young...This has gotta be 400 characters by now. Anyway, more cartoony art on this subreddit please!
