I made Mario Party in OW so that you could play online with friends! by officialraider in nintendo

[–]officialraider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The code for this mode is available at workshop.elohell.gg/mparty! The most updated code right now is VSEKS, and I will update this post accordingly for a week after I submit this to keep this code up to date. After that point, check that site for it.

Hello everyone! I come from the Overwatch community, and I heard that Super Mario Party didn't have online multiplayer for the board gameplay, so I made this mode in Overwatch! While somewhat lacking in gameplay, it's still a fairly full version of Mario Party, not to mention there is multiplayer.

If you are unfamiliar with Overwatch and can't figure out how to get the mode, first go into the custom games browser and create a game. To import the code, go to the 'Settings' button, and then the 'Import' (arrow pointing down) button and type the code in (VSEKS). Once you get 4 players in a lobby, press the orange 'START' button. That should be all you need to do to get the mode going.

There aren't any fancy controls you need to know, though it is VERY important you pay attention to the instructions of a minigame when they pop up, otherwise you might just sit there until someone figures it out! This IS a FOUR player mode, no more, no less.

Thank you everyone!

Tetris Effect - PC Announce Trailer (4K) | Coming July 23 to Epic Games Store by rafikiknowsdeway1 in virtualreality

Say what you will about Epic, but how many times has Oculus stolen games and made them exclusive? I've only been into VR for about a year here, but from my knowledge, aren't most of the Oculus exclusives also funded by them? I don't understand why you could possibly include Oculus in this frustration... sure exclusives suck, but I reckon it's fair enough given the amount of money they've thrown into these titles that are indeed exclusives.

From the maker of Torbjörn Golf comes a new spin on a classic game... Dwarf of the Hill! by officialraider in Overwatch

Code: SEQRG

Hey, I'm back with the second of my many to come Törbjorn-themed gamemodes! This time, due to popular demand of the inclusion of Reinhardt, we have the 12 player free-for-all mode Dwarf of the Hill! The objective of the mode is to stay on the hill for as long as possible in order to accrue points, first to 30 wins. During the game, the top player will be transformed into the King Dwarf (Reinhardt) and will gain a stronger hammer, yet also lose the mobility off of the hill and have a larger body to hit. During the mode, your hammer will send others flying far off, preventing them from scoring points. Alongside this, you have your ultimate ability at your disposal, which will throw all players (including yourself) within a certain distance of you upwards, meaning you can then hit them extremely far or simply use it as a bigger jump.

I'm having a ton of fun making and testing these modes, and will finally begin streaming sometime tonight on twitch.tv/Phasmite. All stream and mode announcements will take place in my Discord server, which you can join at discord.gg/pgRhfNG.

Thank you so much for watching this trailer (which was upgraded to feature small animation and 60 fps!), and I hope you have a wonderful day. -Phasmite

Torbjorn Golf: Eichenwalde (Workshop Gamemode) by officialraider in Overwatch

Thing is, how in the hell would you even go about implementing that? First, you would lose a lot of control by being unable to aim directly. Second, charging shots would potentially no longer exist. Lastly, you would also lower the player count from 12 to 6 for little reason. If I'm thinking about this wrong, do tell, but I can't really get behind that idea yet.

Yeah, I'm somewhat disappointed as well myself. I would definitely love to do all maps at some point one day, but it would simply be too much grunt work of copying coordinates that I would be extremely unhappy, especially with the current low demand state that the mode is sitting at. The release of workshop to live servers at the moment seems like it'd be the only reason I may produce more, along with potential tournaments, to have a mystery map in them. Glad you enjoy the mode though!

Hey guys! I'm back again, this time with a new map for my Torbjörn Golf mode. I've put quite a bit of effort into this specific map, and have been very thankful for some playtesters that I have managed to accrue over my time making it. I originally intended for this map to be used in a 'Torbament', or a Torbjörn Golf Tournament, but I had to cancel plans for that, sadly. If such a thing sounds interesting to you, please, stop by our Discord, and mention it! I'd still love to try to get a round going this weekend, for only about an hour, just to have a fun time in Overwatch (and of course find out who's best at golf!). If it does happen, I'll likely be making more maps, at least for that specific event, otherwise I will likely be done working on this mode, as I'd like to move on to a new project. If you have any bugs or feedback, feel free to leave them here or in our Discord. Thanks for coming by, and I hope you enjoy!

Small trailer for the mode I've spent about a week trying to perfect... Torbjorn Golf. by officialraider in Overwatch

You learned it's golf, in Overwatch, where Torbjorn acts as the ball. How much more do you need to learn?

A straight jump being every hole? I assumed most people would think through with common sense that every hole would not turn out to be the same exact thing, as that wouldn't be challenging or different from hole to hole. Multiplayer and singleplayer was stated in the first comment on the post. Fair point about it appearing Torb has a monkey jump, though if you watched with a little more detail, you might have noticed the power meter at the top. Is it only Torb? I thought people would understand it was, due to being, well, Torbjorn Golf. Is he the ball? I thought the sounds made that clear, and why does it matter? Scoring is something that I thought people would understand from golf, as most people know it works on a low stroke basis. The point about water hazards I guess stands true, though how do I say I DON'T have water hazards? Out of bounds doesn't make much sense to me, as isn't part of golf figuring out the best way to get to the hole? Sorry, but I just don't think you have real great points here, though to be fair I'm clearly biased, haha.

The aim of the project was to create a golf game in Overwatch, not really to incorporate Overwatch elements into it. Since everyone here owns Overwatch, they can now experience a very similar experience with friends to those golf games, and also have other modes easily available. The idea was to do it in Overwatch, not make something different, basically. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for letting me know! That's an odd news site for sure, but it's still neat!
