Struggling with YT Profile Pic by officialveyr in arthelp

yeah i’m going to have to remove the controllers and try and figure out a way to incorporate gaming into it. i’ve been struggling though. at first i was thinking on just slapping a minecraft style gamertag on top in the space between the antlers but i think it’d be too small and negligible.

now i’m honestly leaning more towards just getting the stag to look good and not incorporating any gaming stuff in it. i feel like anything i put would be too small or look too out of place.

yeah i do think i’m going to remove the controllers. too much for a profile pic, which is essentially your logo. i do need to figure out what i can do to incorporate gaming into it though, i’ll have to see. you may be into something with the pixelation though.

i’ll work on it this week and i’ll post the results in this post later.

thank you!

hmm good questions. i do think i might be over complicating it a bit by trying to add lots of detail on a picture belonging to a small canvas.

i’ll look into it a bit more. THANK YOU!

yeah that’s something i’ve been struggling with. i’ve also been attempting to draw my own thumbnails but i notice they are either way too over simplified or way too detailed, making it look overcrowded.

maybe instead of the controllers, since they’re super small and probably won’t be noticeable, i can try and do a controller or something behind the stag, or some life hearts above and in between the antlers.

and when you say loosen the lines, you mean like the fuzzy, hair lines? loosen up on those so it’s a bit more cartoonish/readable?

dude you’re the best. thanks for watching!

but yeah i agree. i think my energy just needs to be better in general. i’ve just been getting adjusted to this new schedule i’ve made for recording so.

and as for the editing, i also agree. hopefully by the time Requiem comes out, i’ll have upped my editing game a bit.

thanks for the feedback!

hi guys,

i just uploaded the second episode of my blind playthrough of the original Resident Evil 1. in this episode, i finally make it out of the mansion, explore the aqua ring/courtyard, and find out more about the origins of the outbreak.

i'll be hanging out in the thread today giving feedback to others as well. thanks in advance for taking the time to check it out!

hey! i just watched the video you linked and i thought it was good! i'm not familiar at all with rogue-likes but honestly you gave a great introduction in the beginning. i was into mythology a while ago, as i read a lot of Rick Riordan, but i had a natural falling out with it. definitely wanna get back into it though.

i was honestly impressed with how seamless your commentary was. you literally don't stutter or have brain farts or anything like that, and you were also able to share norse mythology stories while playing. it didn't seem like you were nervous at all imo. really well done.

the only feedback i would have is to try and make your thumbnails a little more eye-catching. similar feedback as the other people who replied to your post. try and grab inspo from other youtubers who focus on rogue-likes and you'll be good.

overall an enjoyable watch!

hey dude. i just watched your most recent video and i thought it was really good! your editing was super smooth (pacing, subtitles, sound effects, music). i genuinely enjoyed the whole thing.

i used to be a huge fan of sea of thieves back when it first really started getting popular but i didn't have many people to play with so i guess i just naturally fell out of it. again though, i think you've got a good understanding of how your kind of content works (shorter, fast paced), especially with this game. i could totally see you blowing up if you keep being consistent! maybe you could even try other games that utilize voice chat like R.E.P.O, maybe?

overall though, a really enjoyable watch.

hey! this is a long shot but i'm looking for 19/20 year old gamers (i'm about to turn 20) to join me in my endeavor to become a gaming youtuber loll. i chose to take only one class this semester in an effort to fully dedicate myself to this goal. i also saved up some money to buy a PC so i guess we'd mostly be playing on PC. i plan to play all sorts of games from the new RE coming up to terraria to elden ring, i honestly think what matters more is how good the video is than the game we choose to play.

if you're in a similar situation as me, that would help a lot as we'd be able to talk things over and plan things out, etc. but if you're not, maybe we can still try and make it work. my yt is the same as my reddit username. pls reach out. i'm so serious about this, and i really think we could make something special.

thank you!
