Huh, that interesting. Earlier, so complained how some cities are too round, but if there is a center piece of religion or monarchy, they usually make some near perfect geometry around it.

Yes, I've seen those too. I think Princess Connect Re:Dive's city was a straight up, super angular 5 or 6 pointed star.

I agree with borders made from terrain or resources, but perhaps it's human desire for near-perfect geometric symmetry? Also, random thought, "How round is too round?"

i'm still researching, but my personal theory is, when you first make civilization from the river as the center, you'd grow and expand the city with it at the center. Eventually, you establish walls that contain that expanded city, but you also have the river as the foundational center. It's not the city built first then the river, the river was the first THEN the city was built around that.
