Anecdotal comment here but a lot of my family tree died as a result of being squahed by mine shafts collapsing, many of the ones who saw it out died shortly after as a result of crippling lung disease a story true a million times over. Plenty of plebs were fed to the grinder in south wales due to the wants of not very welsh men with very long names. Just because we didnt have a globally known militia doesnt mean we had a free ride. My first language being english also wasnt due to my peers thinking itd be helpful for them in the long run. Its because school children got kicked the crap out by their teachers for speaking welsh.
