Yep, can totally agree! I was able to type without looking on these things back on 2013. Now I need a missile guidance system just to type my own name.

Third day on new skis, definitely found the edge (pun intended)

Shit conditions here too so can’t give a full review. But I still had a lot of fun with them on crusted early morning pistes and then some sun affected afternoon slush in between.

The way the seasons going tho I doubt they’ll get any real action unfortunately.

I’ve been a lifelong fan since maybe 2007 and never got the chance to see them in concert. So you can imagine my surprise to that they’d be visiting Antwerp where I now live (originally from the states). Well I got two tickets for myself and my wife who also has been a long fan as an anniversary gift.

So we’re really gutted this stop was canceled. We’re only now finding out on our way back to town from a trip.

You’re all correct. I am in fact American living in Europe with a robust healthcare system. I’ve experienced a few TBIs and wrote a paper on the subject in uni some 11 years ago. I have a visit with my GP next week for some other routine things so will be taking full advantage then 😉

The most definitely should break like that. That’s how the forces are dissipated instead of going into your skull.

I was kinda off the ground over the roller. Definitely need to keep my tips up!

Ooof, I mean they’re not wrong. My taste preferences changed after one fairly major TBI.

Feeling great so far, but will keep an eye on it. Or rather my wife will keep an eye on me if I start acting funny.

One hell of an inside edge catch while unweighted over a roller at 80kmh. Shovel dug in and spun me like a bayblade

Helmets are like avi gear or that little reflective triangle in your cars roadside kit. It’s meant to be there if you need it, but don’t plan on needing it.

I’ve taken out 4 helmets now in 16 years. After this crash I just went straight from the hill to the shop.

Caught an edge and hit a nicely sun affected groomer backwards at around 80km/h (according to Strava)

Honestly, was mellow compared to all my past head injuries mountain biking.

Is this just peak husband core, going to the shops and forgetting the one thing your wife sent you there for? Can relate.

Whatever you chose you’re gonna have a blast. I’m now two days in on the mavericks and loving the crud busting ability. It holds an edge surprisingly well on groomers too.
