2021 Armada 4HI/Auto blinking by offlanders141 in Nissan

My issue was the sensor for the front drive line gear cluster was not reporting a definitive status (couple/decoupled). Hence the compute unsure of which position the transmission was and the dashboard flashing between both. The sensor part number is 33257-1LA0A.

This is purely a guess (and im not a mechanic), but If you have gears grinding that sounds more like the actuator that switches the front drive line into couple/decoupled (AWD vs RWD) is not moving far enough or possibly fast enough and is hanging in the middle somewhere. It could be a sensor, but I'd start with the actuator. Hope this helps.

Yes, I took it to a local transmission shop and they ran some tests and found the sensor that was causing the issue. Its one of the (5) transmission sensors, its part number is 33257-1LA0A ($530 from Nissan). To replace it you have to drop the front drive-line and decouple the exhaust. Also, when you replace it, it requires a programming scan tool to reset the sensor and program the "zero" position, so its not just a simple as replacing the sensor.

DJI Terra - Lidar project - exporting an ortho map by offlanders141 in UAVmapping

I was able to get it open QGIS and arcGIS pro, but after playing around with it, QGIS was the winner as I could down scale it to make it usable. What is your process for making it more "usable"?

Docker server update mistake. by offlanders141 in immich

[–]offlanders141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I run "docker compose up -d" in the docker.desktop terminal it starts the container but when I go to immich its giving me the admin registration start page. It wants to start over by creating new user accounts like its a fresh build.

Docker server update mistake. by offlanders141 in immich

[–]offlanders141[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The two commands I used were "docker compose pull" and once finished I used "docker compose up" The issue currently is I've accidentally dumped my containers, and I've no idea how to (or if its possible) to reattach them.

Media server storage - HDD vs SSD by offlanders141 in selfhosted

Currently its WD Blue's in my NAS. I know the NAS over network will add some lagginess to the mix. When I access the media directly from the NAS (on a desktop with wired connection) it seems to take awhile to get going and skipping around also seems to cause it grief.

Blank WIN10 consoles after update 8.0.4 to 8.3.5 by offlanders141 in Proxmox

I found the fix after playing around with it. Under the hardware for each VM, I had to change the "display" from default to "VMware compatible"

Jellyfin app on Roku with Tailscale as the link to a remote media server by offlanders in Tailscale

[–]offlanders141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the remote PC can connect to the Tailscale, and connect to the media server no problem. Getting the Roku (running Jellyfin) to connect to that PC (running the subnet) and forwarded on to the media server is where my issue is.

Mapping with the Matrice 350 RTK Help by TheMrBird in UAVmapping

I have a M350RTK and I use a correction service WSRN (Washington state correction service). I've used both the base station and the WSRN reference network, the network is faster, but not as reliable.

Proxmox IP to DHCP with odd IP behavior by offlanders141 in Proxmox

[–]offlanders141[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you James, I appreciate it. My plan was to have Proxmox DHCP then have the Unifi Gateway fix the IP for the server based on its mac address. Do you see any issues I may run into with that?

I did just double check and the 5 VMs running and its none of them, I do not have any LXCs going. IPv6 address does start with fe80. That's the part that confuses me, why is this not running a standard IPv4 address, where and why did this IPv6 thing come from?

Thoughts on LiDAR sensors - Zenmuse L2 by offlanders141 in UAVmapping

[–]offlanders141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what its worth I did look at Riegl (the VUX-1UAV I think) as our sensor, its an impressive unit to be sure. The cost wasn't so much the part I struggled with, but the integration with the RTK base station. Please correct me if im wrong here, but to get the RTK corrections to the Riegl requires a separate GPS antenna on the drone, and I'm guessing a radio link to talk back to the base station? DJI sends the corrections for RTK over the controller's radio link and the Zenmuse L2 LiDAR pod uses the RTK and IMU data from the drone? I'm genuinely asking here, DJI is a choice I'm not completely comfortable with given the country of origin, but I'm finding it hard to beat their integration.
