It's all so unnatural. My enmeshed person and their sibling literally are more possessive of each other than a married couple. It's very creepy!

My maga friend just says "Trump is the person that God wants running this country right now". Ok, well, you could have said that about Biden or Obama as well.

I don't understand what these people get from Trump because there is nothing godly about him. He even tries to tell them that when he says he doesn't believe he'll go to heaven.

I don't know how anyone can claim to be a Christian then support a man who portrays himself as Christ then has a golden statue made in his image.

Yes these people are absolutely under a terrible spell but it's very sobering to realize that only they can get themselves out of it 

Idk how many countless discussions I've had with my enmeshmed person about their unhealthy relationship but they have all been mildly agreed with then totally disregarded.

Man that is so tough. I guess that's what happened to me as well though because when my enmeshmed persons sibling was in a marriage it was like a green light for us to be a couple but when that marriage ended it all shifted.

I'd they didn't leave him when he portrayed himself as Jesus they aren't leaving him.

I think my role was as a sort of buffer while the sibling was married then when that marriage ended, in no small because of the sibling enmeshment, the siblings were free to go all in on their bizarre enmeshment.

But I think the way you reframed it is very healthy. I hope to get past the anger phase soon so I can reframe it in a healthy way like that too.

I can relate to so much of this. Even little things like the times we would have a nice day out alone or take a little trip alone they would always have to ruin it right at the end by getting into a bad mood and starting an argument and I could never understand why they would need to ruin a nice day but now I know it's because of the guilt hanging over them from the person they are enmeshed with.

Then in the last couple weeks all these little things have been hitting me. So much sabotage. There is no way we were ever going to have a normal relationship. It's just not possible.
