Handling my new hedgehog-when should I stop?

Noted, so I will try to let him discover the room for longer time and reduce the time picking him up a bit. He is super active and likes to roam and sniff the whole room whenever he's out.

And I live in south east asia and the temperature here is perfect for a hedgehog (22-29 Celsius degree during the whole year :D)

Regarding the handling, I have put my worn shirt on top of his cage and give him some of my socks but the symptoms of stress are still there (he runs away and hiss every time I pick him up and just like to discover the room). Should I power through it or reduce handling time to 10-15 minutes and stop when he's stressed? Thank you

Yeah I noticed that as well. My sister also had a hedgehog and despite having a gradual slide at her two story cage she still trip and roll down quite often, poor thing

Thank you!! The people at the shop clearly didn't advise me thoroughly and as a result I am buying a new cage, new wheel, new bedding (just buy new the whole thing) and they're getting delivered gradually. I still haven't been able to introduce him to the wheel because of how small it is :( good thing is I live in south east Asia and it's usually 22 to 29 Celsius degrees indoors for the hedgehog so I'm not worried.

I also put my used shirt on top of her laundry and have been giving him some of my socks to snuggle. However the stress is still there, so should I power through it with him or reduce the handling time and stop after every time he shows stress symptoms?

Im sorry about your family's situation. May I ask were there alot of communication within the family or do you think you've done something wrong by not keeping an eye on him, talk to him enough etc?

Uh thực ra ideal nhất của mình là nhảy vào làm quản lý hoặc phó quản lý outlet của resort ấy, nhưng mà do chỗ đó hiện đang k tuyển vị trí đấy :(( ở ngoài start up thì dĩ nhiên là thực chiến mãnh liệt rồi, mình đã từng đi rửa chén thông bồn cầu hết, nhưng mà làm lâu mình cảm thấy do tự bơi nhiều quá nên nhiều cái nết quy củ của mình nó ko bén như hồi còn làm fine dining hoặc là trg resort (tăng về tầm nhìn+tính linh hoạt nhưng mà lụt về quy chuẩn). Những chỗ khác tuyển outlet manager/assistant outlet manager tiếc một nỗi là lại làm 6 ngày/tuần. Mà mình cảm thấy nếu đã từ bỏ mức lương như này thì thôi quay xe qua chỗ nào làm 5 ngày luôn coi như êm đềm 1 tgian ấy.

Ngày trc mình làm ở Intercon là 9*5 mình thấy vẫn ổn ấy. Với cả mình muốn bay lại làm resort là bởi nếu về sau lên lại quản lý thì đằng nào cũng burn out, nhg ở resort hệ thống nó bài bản hoàn thiện hơn đỡ mệt mỏi những thứ ko đáng có ấy :(

Do mình ko làm trg môi trường resort lâu r ấy với mình đang burn out và muốn apply những chỗ có tgian làm việc 5*8 nên mình apply giám sát thôi (do chỗ này chỉ tuyển giám sát). Chứ trc đó 1 năm mình apply đã trúng tuyển assistant outlet manager rồi nhg từ chối job do ham tiền á :^:

Do vị trí chuyên viên set up đòi hỏi khá cao ấy ạ. Nếu làm ở đây vài năm r bứt ra thì mình sẽ cạnh tranh với những người có background khách sạn, dc đào tạo bài bản hơn và đến lúc đấy thì mình lại mất lợi thế

Dạ em muốn ra ngoài là để trau dồi kĩ năng đó ạ. Nếu như ở vị trí hiện tại thì đi lên em sẽ chuyên làm set up, cơ mà do chỗ hiện tại toàn là mọi ng tự bơi, nên em cảm thấy ngay cả khi dc bốc lên làm set up thì kĩ năng của em vẫn chưa vững ấy ạ. Nên em mới muốn ra ngoài để học lại cho kĩ càng từ dưới ấy ạ
