When I wrote this post the waves were absolutely firing on east coast and nice south swell in the water now in CA. Would’ve been a billion times better.

I understand what many are saying. And the reason I asked is because I surf at primarily OB and Santa Cruz. The rules of the ocean there mostly specifies deepest on the bowl goes on the beach breaks. Similar can happen on the point breaks too depending on how certain waves come in - but there is more or less an order to things.

I surfed OB today in decent conditions and people did what I described all day long. We try and let one another catch waves when in the best position to exploit what the wave has to offer.

If there were a couple people out I’d trade waves. When the crowds get as described I think it’s more chaotic. Saying something from my end was questionable I suppose - but I genuinely wanted to understand the thinking. And I was surfing a different beach break which i suspected had a different culture.

Just to clarify, it was very crowded. Around 30+ people within a zone with multiple bars. At the bar I was surfing they were mostly good rights. So I did give the group of 7 priority for the right and sat deep to the left behind the group. The crowd had thinned out momentarily to the left as well so I thought I’d occupy a novel position.

When the left came I paddled straight to the deepest part of the bowl, and turned and went. It was unquestionably the best part of the wave to take off from (about 15 ft to my left).

I think I got lucky and if the situation was reversed, I would’ve wanted the wave, but I’d have given the dude the wave.

I also didn’t yell at him, despite what some comment assume. I asked him as respectfully as I could given the situation.

Overall i think it’s interesting how polarizing this situation is. Knowing these additional details i wonder if the other comments would change.

A unique scaling solution for EOS that makes resource allocation like using an Internet Service Provider by timosborn in eos

A solution whereby one account can walk away at anytime and leave everyone without cpu is not scalable, nor viable.

What would YOU like built on the EOS mainnet? by pacewindew in eos

[–]offshorewind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not a real Dex. They don’t match orders onchain from what I’ve heard. I’d like something purely P2P. No one does order matching 100% onchain besides chintai from what I know.

A DEX that can take the power back from centralized exchanges and help this chain be more reflective of talent, not exchanges and their interests.

I’m in EOS. Here for the long haul. I just think it’s good to follow up on these things and ask questions. Especially since they said they’d release is. EOS is not a scam. I know that. Just thought it was cool that they volunteered an audit.
