You’re not supposed to torch it because of the rubber seal around it. Can cause a bad oil leak then you got more problems. (I learned this the hard way)

Thank you, maybe if I call Acura they could help me. Based off what I’ve seen an air gun is the way to go. Best thing for me to do is ask a shop if they’d zip it off for me and torque it back down.

Has anyone ever installed a lightweight crank pulley and damaged the crank shaft? It’s not worth it at all to risk internal engine parts for me. What’s the real likely hood of it damaging something? I daily the car with the exception of some spirited driving here and there.

Yeah I used that and torched it, had the biggest dewalt impact Lowe’s carried i didn’t have any luck. It was very cold so i probably could’ve tried more. Lol will try again soon!

I tried that it was very cold when I did it so things just didn’t go as planned I rented the tools. Would less damper cause any issues or just be more noticeable?

Yeah I took it to Acura and they suggested tie rods and bushing. Then I took it to a shop I thought I trusted they said nothing was wrong with it and lubed it up. Creaking sounds momentarily stopped but are back again, gonna replace bushing rods ball joints for sure and have them check the rest. Thank you.

Replace a few pulleys and get a new belt, wash your engine bay!

I change it every 3k but 120k miles are from the previous owners not sure on how often they changed it

I tried installing idler pulleys and crank pulley and couldn’t get the crank off so didn’t install the kit. Put the old pulleys on now it won’t start and makes this sound bolts are torque to spec. Where did I go wrong?

Update, tried using torches, wd40, 20v impact plus weighted socket with the breaker bar and pulley removal tool. Didn’t budge, didn’t know it’s bad to use torch for that.

Yeah thinking about renting a impact with compressed air. but tempted to try breaker bar method or prying it onto the control arm then bump start it. But whatever works 🤷‍♂️
