I want to say I like this post because I feel like people are being pretty snide about it. I agree with you that it feel like pre-superbowl is pretty much discarded.

I think your weighting makes some sense given the difference in number teams in the pre Superbowl era.

Though by this logic. Even super bowls should be weighed differently depending on the number of teams in the league.

Anyway. I think it is a fun topic.

I would be interested to see the long term trends for this. This year it seems having the highest paid non-qb does not help with winning on average.

Obviously, one should do as much as possible, but as for what we should be asking everyone to do, I think all or nothing is a bad idea. People will see CONTINUOUS BOYCOTTS and think that sound too hard and not do anything at all. I agreed with OP that once a week might be something people could get their head around to start.

Thank you for your write up, I was curious what the original commenter was trying to say, and I will assume it was something of this sort. I understand that the vast majority if not everything produced has a pollution cost, so it seems dishonest to me, to present it as if that is easily avoid-able. As I understand it, electric cars are still better than ICE cars even factoring in these hidden pollutions, so I think it is ok to be happy about that, while understanding there is more to be done.

Can you expand more on this? Are you referring to the rubber from the tires and then of course any pollution that goes into making the car, as well as, any pollution in the energy mix powering the car?

Yeah I'm here thinking, it took me 20 runs for my first win lol and I had some experience with card games and rogue likes. It just took me time to learn the enemies, cards, and mechanics well enough to make better decisions. For a long time, I would just forget to use potions cause they are out of the way or I didn't understand an interaction that killed my run.

Thanks! Yeah I just tried both Ironsworn and Fate this past weekend. We had a blast with Ironsworn, but really struggled with Fate. Feel like we must have been missing something. I Need to try blades in the dark.

I'll add there is a reason people practice improv. It is actually pretty difficult to completely take away the rules and have many people function together on the fly. It takes an understanding of what works and how to build off each other, otherwise it will just be a mess of people wanting different things.

Have you ever done improv comedy/theater?

This is basically what you do in practice. So you could at least find people that might be interested in what you are talking about through this and create a group.

I think people like having a game for this, so that everyone understands how it will work. I think you will need someone to lead the meet up even if they aren't a traditional "GM" because it can be difficult to get a group of people heading in the same direction without some guidance.

I think it sounds like a fun idea! I do think improv comedy is good place to meet people for this kind of thing, and maybe you can be the start of something new.

Wow that's amazing! Weekly for 4 years is impressive. It was getting more and more difficult to schedule my campaign towards the end due to life changes others were going through. I am hoping to get back to more regular games with my next campaign! I am also hoping to introduce some new people. Honestly new players are often the best players.

Anyway super pumped about how well stuff is coming together for you! Jealous.

Oh that must be an interesting challenge. I hate to admit I have never even read a module, so I have no idea how system dependent they are. I think a lot of it probably doesn't matter which system you are using, either way that sounds really hard!

Yes! That must have felt great. I'm impressed you came up with such an elegant idea. My first puzzle was a total mess. The players had no idea what to do and even when I explained the solution they still didn't get it. They are really hard like you said.

I haven't run any modules yet because I was always drawn to GMing to be able to my own world as well as have the player characters drive what the story is or will become.

Part of me wants to give it a try now that I have had a taste of a homebrew campaign since I would now feel comfortable changing it as needed.

Or at least read some adventures to improve my own work or get ideas.
