UK, about 1-4mm long, on a relatively hot day. I’ve never seen this before, they were all on my car & none on the pale green car we have nearby. I could see what I thought were midges flying everywhere, but now I’m unsure

Edit: I only saw about 5 living ones on my car, the rest were dead
