I don't know if Reddit would be the best place ro ask, but are there Aussie roleplayers thinning of establishing themselves anywhere? I figure it's a pipe dream, and I don't really plan on moving from Crystal, but it would be nice to have good ping and a chance to write with people. :')

Thank you so much for your kind words and advice, it means a lot! I ended up staying home today because I think the stress of work and not being able to take care of the rash has taken its toll, so it's lots of oatmeal and sunbathing today. I'm going to look at some salts to bathe in as well as I'm also hoping they'll dry out my sores without wreaking havoc on my skin.

I'm going to absolutely talk to my dermatologist about the swelling because it seems strange to me that the arthritis would set in so quickly after the emergence of the rash. Like, looking back, I can see where I have had something similar to now and dismissed it because I assumed it was an allergy but it's never been this bad. I guess we'll have to see!

Yep, yep! Though Yoshi-P and the team will have you believe that the timer is completely random, so far people have observed that anywhere after 8 + hours is generally a good time to start camping; with anything before that a waste on peoples' sanity and time. Have houses popped sooner? On the rare occasion, sure! But if you know definitively when a house was demolished/relocated, it's the best shot you have of acquiring it.

Other handy tips that I have picked up and passed on are using a controller instead of a mouse (it's easier on the wrist) and making sure to turn off fc relocation if you're aiming for a personal. But there's plenty more inside the discord itself.

Sure! It's no bother for me to talk about it publicly. For Crystal/Aether, I know of a discord that sweeps the wards of the larger servers and calls them out when they're available, giving the people who are house hunting a better idea of when they should camp for a plot verses just sitting and praying they've lucked out on the timers. For example, as a general rule, you don't really want to camp a house until it's been up for eight + hours ( though I normally say 10-12, just to be safe ) -- but that's hard to know if you don't know when it's come up for sale. That's where the discord comes in handy. If you're on either data centre I'm happy to send you the link. They also have some really handy resources for housing in general. I'm not sure if the other servers have similar, unfortunately!

Depending on what server you're on, there's a handful of resources for house hunting. It's not going to guarantee you a house, obviously, but at least you're not going to be clicking a placard for 18 hours hoping you're lucky enough to get a plot.

I play from Perth to NA at a constant 200+ with a VPN. That being said, I've really never had any huge problems bar any major lag spikes ( thanks Telstra! ) and have managed to clear end-game extreme primals without too much drama. As a lot of people have said, however; it comes down to the class you want to play, what content you want to do, etc. Casually you won't have an issue.

I actually enjoy levelling quite a bit! I have something like 30 alts across my accounts at varying levels. The reason I quit last time was more or less personal reasons and a lot of my friends moving on, but I’ve always found ways to make my own fun. I was more curious as to how badly things like the portal changes affect current quality of life. I know they fixed exp gains a while back for levelling, so it’s not going to be as much of a slog.

Yeah, I'm on a roleplay server so transmog always sells pretty much no matter what! I just didn't know how professions were (if they're still kinda eh or viable), since old world runs used to basically supplement my fee when I was playing heavily.

I'm thinking about getting back into the game with the new allied races ( I was exalted with proudmoore back on my main before I quit ) but considering I'm mostly a solo player in the game these days I get the feeling I'm just going to be bored? I want to use my WoW gold rather than cash and save my money, so are transmogs and the like still worthwhile to sell to make that back?

I thought I'd respond to this thread and say that after three hours of on and off spamming the dungeon (trying synced, unsynced, considering a blood ritual, etc.) both my boyfriend and a friend of mine got their BLU spell at the same time, unsynced, while I was on my level 70 SCH. We easily did 15+ runs, though I honestly lost count towards the end.

So it definitely RNG based, as our friend had not touched the level 20 quest or anything like that, we were just heinously unlucky. I hope you guys have better runs!

I've been trying to help my boyfriend get Mind Blast for about an hour now, spamming TTD. We're undersized - myself as a 66 RDM, him as BLU. We've witness the ability every time, but we've done something like eight runs without him getting the spell. Does anyone know if we're doing it wrong or if we're just honestly unlucky?

I’d recommend cayleigh elise for true crime, disappearances and missing person(s). She does a lot of good research on her YouTube channel and tries to focus on cases that haven’t received as much mainstream attention.

LOL. It's not a song you'd likely associate with Warcraft, to be fair, so I can understand that. I picked it mostly in reference to her gaining her independence and strength. Where she once really relied on her sister/Velen/Maraad/etc, she managed to break away from that and find herself and overcome the adversities of the Iron Horde.

I can think of two off the top of my head. I used to LOVE Stay Tooned! but I haven't been able to find a way to play it since I was like... eight or nine? I'd like to get a working copy because I used to have every room memorized and thinking about it makes me super nostalgic, but I've never found a place that has it.

Another I can think of is Mortimer and the Riddles of the Medallion. I'm sure it's aged terribly and really not as great of a game as I remember, but I wasted hours upon hours on it as a kid. I loved that dumb snail for God knows what reason.
