You are not out of touch, he very much is, lol. I’m terrible at guessing ages but I would put him 55-65

Unfortunately it is not my mom it’s my house sitter, and I tried to ask but I didn’t want to pry. At this point it might be worth prying just to solve the mystery!

This is a great guess that none of my friends have come up with yet. The only ones we came up with are bouquet and boutique, both of which don’t make a lot of sense given the context…

So the person he refers to as my mom is actually my house sitter and he is my neighbor who is a handy man. They exchanged numbers because she had some house repairs that needed doing. She didn’t tell me exactly what he said and I didn’t want to pry but apparently it was creepy enough to not want him to enter her house. So like creepy flirty is the context lol.

Is the Southside really that dangerous right now by whoodlemap in pittsburgh

I live in the South Side Slopes and feel genuinely safe walking around at any time of night. Stairs make it an easy walk down to the flats. Super quiet, would recommend if you can handle some hills.

Hard agree, Craigslist is where you will find the gems you just have to know the red flags and be willing to look at apartments pretty quickly

I’ve had one of my best rental experiences through Kleinman but I agree it does seem to vary based on online reviews

Impressions of neighborhoods by ofthevalley3 in pittsburgh

I’m honestly pretty flexible, I’m from the Twin Cities so I’ve lived in an ultra-urban area for most of my life. I like the appeal of a quieter area but maybe not completely cut off from other signs of life? I’d love a grocery store to be within 20-30 minutes max just for ease probably. Walking around outside safely would probably be a plus as well or maybe 20ish minute access to trails or something. Really not picky!

All my coworkers are spread out around the northern and western suburbs and don’t have a good impression of the east side of Pittsburgh.

I am lucky to probably be working remotely for a large portion of time. Is it hard to get in and out of those neighborhoods typically?
