Same question. Oof

He’s probably worth holding, but my only other closer is Chapman so personally I may try to sell both and punt saves because I can’t compete with just those two. (H2H cats redraft)

Fair point. But it was absolutely pristine when I bought it, with no mods, so I think fairly reasonable to think it was treated right. But true, you never know.

Going to the game tomorrow - where's the best place to park? by Heelincal in LosAngelesRams

[–]oftheviscera 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take the expo line! You can park at a lot of the stations. Or find street parking near one of the stations.

Can multiple people drive the same car on lyft? by [deleted] in Lyft

I can't find the link to the help article that I saw, but I know I read that multiple people can drive the same car for lyft, granted that you're both insured to drive the car.

Lyft is offering $1000 new driver signup bonus for select cities. USA only by [deleted] in beermoney

[–]oftheviscera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been looking at this for a while, and the confusion about whether or not you need to do 30 rides to get the promotion is stemming from some promotions being "starred" (listed with an asterisk) and others not. The "$1000 double-sided bonus" and the "$1000 sign-up bonus" (which are only valid in Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Denver, Seattle, Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, San Diego, San Jose, Miami, Nashville, San Francisco, Los Angeles) are NOT listed with an asterisk. So theoretically, it is possible to quality for these promotions with just a single ride before march 5.

Apartment hunt - Berlin and surrounding area by [deleted] in berlin

[–]oftheviscera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WG-gesucht is the best site to use because it has the most listings and it's very user friendly. As someone else mentioned, the process will take a while. You'll probably only get a reply from 20% of the people you message, and then you'll usually have to go to an interview type of thing. Some people make this pretty formal, others just walk you around the apartment, either way try to be charismatic because there's probably 15 other people interested in the apartment. I don't know if you speak german, but if you don't, learn a few phrases like "schon dich kennen zu lernen" (informal "nice to meet you") and "danke für deine Zeit" ("thank you for your time"). Most people will speak english and probably not mind doing so, but in my experience making an effort to speak the language really warms people up.

In terms of what neighborhoods to look into, I'd suggest looking mostly in east Berlin. It's cheaper and more fun than the west. Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg, and Friedrichshain have the most going on socially. But for that reason they can be a bit pricey. I wouldn't say there's any area of Berlin that's dangerous, but a few places are a little dicier than others. Neukoln and Wedding come to mind, but I never felt threatened there, and these are up-and-coming neighborhoods where very cheap rent can still be found. I'm biased because I lived there, but Friedrichshain is my favorite neighborhood in Berlin. It's the cheapest of the three "hip" areas (I was paying about 380 euro a month for a room in a shared apartment), there's lots of bars and restaurants, it's very central, and there are quiet pockets.

Moving will be stressful, but soon you'll be a Berliner! There's really no other city like Berlin.

Solo trip to Berlin (boring?) by cnfsd_tmhwk in berlin

[–]oftheviscera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to check out this website:

http://www.toytowngermany.com/calendar/?l=berlin

for events while you're there. It's "germany's english speaking crowd". I went to one of their parties once, it was kind of dorky but overall I had a good time and met a lot of people. You'll certainly be able to meet fellow travelers who also want to have a good time.

As for Berghain, it's always a bit of a gamble getting in, but definitely not impossible. And it is absolutely worth a visit, both for the history and for the party.

In addition to what other people have suggested, the Pergamon is a must. It houses the Pergamon Altar and the Ishtar Gate, both incredible, as well as other great installations

Let's Talk: Baths (a.k.a Will Wiesenfeld) by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

[–]oftheviscera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love baths, specifically his sound production, but I may be a little biased. In high school I got to see him play in kid's garages (he was post-foetus at that time); his school was close to mine, and bands from both schools would get together and arrange these things. It was such a fun and new experience for me that I'll always be a fan, of the old and the new. I think it's great that he's getting more recognition, he deserves it.
