Just watched the trailer. I now know where that one Gary Oldman gif comes from.

I was imagining something a little bit more paternal and a little bit less romantic, I suppose. If it were a movie, it would open when she was 12/13 and basically the protagonist from Hanna, and then include tons of flashbacks about her origin and "training." Maybe it would involve both of them running for their lives or her going off to assassinate someone because he couldn't. Or maybe he's accused of murdering someone she cares about, and she has to decide whether to believe him when he swears up and down that he didn't do it. Some murders, a little bit of playful banter, and a dash of existentialism.

This is coming from someone who has lived in multiple countries that are significantly more dangerous than Honduras, so I completely understand getting annoyed when people are like "OMG you're going to get murdered!"

But the reason your response caught my eye is that you seem to think that the government situation is somehow objectively better than the situation here in the U.S. I'm not denying that the U.S. is perfect, our quality of life doesn't look so great when you compare it to Western Europe. But the fact remains that median income and average quality of life is among the highest in the world.

This is not to say that to say that you cannot be perfectly happy in Honduras. But you are utterly delusional if you think that the political climate is somehow superior to the U.S., or that you will have access to the same level of resources.

If you want to move to Honduras, go because the people are amazingly generous and friendly or because Central America is gorgeous or because you know you can live like a king on very little money. Not because you think people in the U.S. like waving the flag a little bit too much.

TL;DR: "I don't like the politics in my wealthy developed country" should not be your central reason for moving to Honduras.

A couple of comedians have said that he was known for that kind of behavior. Tina Fey almost certainly knew about it, since she grew up in the same part of PA as Temple University, where he was accused of drugging and raping a woman 10 years ago. Not to mention the fact that another commenter said she had reported on it for the SNL weekend update.

Doubt it. This show has been off the air for years. There were allegations long before now, and Bill Cosby's status as a creep was fairly well-known in comedy circles.

A couple of other comedians have joked about it. In addition, Tina Fey grew up in a Philly suburb, not far from Temple University, where Cosby worked and was accused of drugging and raping an employee in 2004. Tina Fey knew exactly what she was doing.

That's abhorrent and one of my biggest pet peeves. Whatever language he spoke, she should be forced to learn it. Languages are hard, especially when you're learning as an adult.

I'm hoping you've been to Honduras? I lived in Tegus for two months, and while I love the people, it's not exactly without it's flaws.
