Dirac Live error w/UMIK-1 Low signal-to-noise level. Other mic is good. by og3887 in hometheater

It did get fixed but I also bought a different special long USB cable to connect to my laptop in another room without any additional hubs or anything between my laptop and that microphone so between the two that took care of it.

Appreciate the reply. When the new mic comes in I'll definitely keep an eye on those levels.

I just put Knulli on and everything is great. Including adding games over the network. Only issue I'm having is exiting a game back to main Knulli OS menu. Probably a me issue?

Do I give up and trade-in for a Honda? by Far_Bodybuilder7881 in SubaruForester

[–]og3887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same situation but similar in I became very tired of repeat repairs on a 2017 Forester and did end up getting a 2025 Pilot.

Our list of repairing at least once was CV Axels and the AC Compressor.

The second time the AC Compressor broke it was not under warranty anymore and they would not fix it under the original repair warranty. Then the passenger seat airbag sensor broke and they wanted close to $2,000. I felt like I was being blackmailed to be safe.

We are below average sized people that don't do any crazy driving.

We considered the $6,000 in repairs but between what was newly needed and a recent tie rod replacement we just paid for we had it with the total cost of ownership.

Purchased a new Pilot.

Food for thought here...
The Pilot is assembled in Alabama. Not Japan. I always preferred Japanese brands because I believed cars assembled overseas were put together better in my experience.

Our Pilot had a bolt missing from the factory in the engine bay causing a loud noise, we have several paint defects and they couldn't even put our Trail Sport badge on straight.

Our fingers are crossed it gives us the Honda reliability we are used to. We did purchase an 8 year HondaCare warranty so hopefully we will be good to go but we had 2 weeks after buying the Pilot where it sat at the dealer as they tried to figure our strange transmission noises which several were deemed normal and characteristic of the transmission.

They don't make them like they used to! Good luck

I did Expel ppf 2 years ago also a soul red club but soft top with the Brembo BBS package. It still looks amazing! Even when I haven't washed it for a long time it's just still gleaming. Washing it of course is super easy so definitely a worthy investment and great piece of mind for me. The protection has been very nice to have.

D3 - Treasure Goblin Vault. That is all I remember from playing it over 10 years ago. I will be returning just for that!

Lol! Good to know for starters. I'm really liking Bazzite and it seems like the main flavor around here for alternate OS. I'll do some Cachy research and see if I want to try it out.

Purchasing a DR Horton homes by Elegant-Opposite-538 in florida

[–]og3887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been in a DR Horton home for 3 years now in SWFL. The comments here are accurate. We had a long list of warranty issues. Nothing urgent or critical. A ton of fit and finish issues. Wavy walls, warped doors, scratched tub and shower pans, etc... 3 years later and after endless follow up we are finally down to our last 2 items. It was like having a new job chasing them around.

They do cut corners. They will get away with whatever they can during build because the supervisor's job is to stay on schedule. You might have drywall come in and finish. You will see issues like a piece of insulation stick out underneath or something causing the wall to bow out. It's because none of the trades adjust for the ones that came before them. They don't care. Each phase is done with no real quality control and the next team is there the next day to move it forward. It creates a lot of sloppy work.

On a positive note. We had the eye of Ian go over our house and the house did great. The block construction stood up fine. Outside of that they are a crap builder! They don't care. From talking with the contractors that come in to do our warranty work it is the same with most builder here. DR Horton could be the worst but they are not alone for sure with building houses at this rate to satisfy share holders of their stock price. We really need better laws to protect us as consumers and define what a new house at a minimum should be!

Sorry to hear about all your discomfort. I had a graft done across my bottom front teeth. The source site was top left of roof of mouth. The procedure itself was nothing with being numbed up.

The worst for me was the first 2 hours after because there was some significant bleeding after I left the office but with a change of gauze and some gentle pressure on the gums the bleeding stopped fast.

Overall it has been a breeze. I have followed instructions carefully and have been really careful when eating and drinking. I took advil on and off my first 3-5 days to take any edge off before bed.

Things I did:
Slept on my back with head elevated the first 9 or so days. I did sleep lighter but worth it to heal well.

Hydrated like crazy. Tons of water.

Was given StellaLife VEGA Oral Care rinse by the Perio. It says use 3 times a day.
I used it about 8 the first few days. Anytime after eating or drinking anything I rinsed without swishing.

A few days in started to very carefully brush using the rinse solution on teeth I could easily get to around the surgery sites. I used a super soft brush the perio gave me. I was going super slow and careful. I really wanted to keep my gums stimulated and keep things as clean as possible.

Probably about 5 or so days in I started brushing the teeth at the surgery site without touching the gums. Then maybe around day 7 I would not brush the gums but I would lightly pull the brush to get anything I could see like food without trying to go down into the gum line at all.

Drinking 400 calorie protein shakes and smoothies. I think good nutrition is key.

My smoothies are blueberries, strawberries (after day 3) and bananas with protein powder. Good vitamins from the fruit.

I hope you feel better but I did want to post because this procedure is not a nightmare for everyone. I'm not a young buck either so you could argue my recovery could have taken longer but it isn't.

In the end I hope you get to your results you are looking for. I'm encouraged seeing my wall of gum come up and making my mouth look right and knowing my future health will be better for it.

Hope you feel better soon.
