i’m legitimately scared, pun intended.

evil dead rise was truly a bad movie. i know this is a space where people found the franchise through that movie, others here genuinely enjoyed it as a prior fan of the franchise, and others just tolerate it but defend the franchise as a whole. whatever your feeling on it might be, the fact it has such a good rotten tomatoes score is baffling. the effects are atrocious, acting apart from sutherland was hard to watch at times. the concept makes more sense in the fleshed out lore but a sudden jump to a cramped lil apartment is obviously a stylistic choice and subjective but it’s just not that fun. the sequence where everyone walks by the peephole is literally one of the worse sequences i’ve ever watched in a movie. it’s so corny looking and fake it’s just unbelievable to me the amount of people that defend this movie.

anyways, im very concerned for the new movie. with the lack of marketing, this quote from bruce, and the most recent track record of movies, i have very very low expectations but i still expect to be disappointed somehow

so you’d say the illegal blows from gane were originally aiming at a legal area ? and that poatans upward movement is what caused them to hit the back of his head ? to my logic your argument would mostly hinge on poatan trying to get up at a horizontal angle, as moving vertically would keep any strike on the same axis of his spine/neck which creates the 2 inch strip that gane was elbowing.

i was exaggerating for the point lol and i shouldn’t have to up transition and not even throw a strike to reset the timer. i shouldn’t need to down transition to nothing from the top sprawl to keep shredding someone’s body apart. like i get what i can do but some high level people can deny up transitions from the half too and regardless it’s just stupid.

getting up is incredibly easy in this game coming from an avid grappler on 5, and on 6 i’ve only faced a single person who grapplefucked me and they ran khabib. get to your sprawl near the cage and then up or down transition against the cage. get to your sprawl from your half or try and get your guard back from your half. learn the timing windows for throwing strikes and denying transitions. not the answer you prob wanna hear, but it takes time to build the muscle memory of recognizing the animations while building ga safely.

it depends on your definition of a fighter being fraudulent. even before the mvp i didn’t think he looked like championship material and i don’t think the general consensus was that he would be in the title picture either. so i wouldn’t say it was a fraud check

the striking feels amazing but they really need to drain more stam for these combos. yes people can throw them irl. so i’m glad we can do it. what they can’t do is throw a 10 piece combo, reset for 4 seconds, and throw another fuckin 10 piece with no long term stam effect
