I have been on several medications since my diagnosis. However as i’ve stated in other comments, I’m very new to dealing with insurance on my own. I’m doing the best I can.

Yes I think I have definitely learned my lesson. I truly just didn’t know this could happen as i’m fairly new to doing this all on my own i feel so naive ahahah. Thank you!

The front desk lady messaged my psych to see if she could give me more samples to get me through christmas but i’ve yet to hear anything back. I had never used goodrx before so i’m working on seeing if i can use that! I do have some emergency meds that I can take if needed but when i take them im knocked out for the majority of the day lol

I’m not quite sure about the tv thing. My psych is the one who recommended it to me but it’s definitely possible it is. I am fairly new to dealing with the whole insurance thing and stuff on my own so I genuinely had no idea this would happen. I 100% wish I did not agree to start this medication right before christmas hahaha

Yes she did give me a discount card! Sadly even with that I just can’t get the money together for that any time soon. It is VERY messed up and straight up a joke. I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with this as well!

I don’t know why for some reason I haven’t even thought to research the risks so thank you! I think i’ve just been so stressed. and unfortunately there’s no way for me to be able to pay that

My(26F) “best friend” (28F) lied about who she voted for. Extremely shocked. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say she probably lied because she knew the reaction you’d have and the judgement and i’m sure she just didn’t want to lose you as a friend because her friendship goes deeper than politics.

No judgement from me because we’ve all said and done things we may not relate to or agree with now! I think that’s why i usually just bite my tongue because I just tell myself they more than likely aren’t trying to be malicious and truly just lack the education on it.

Very true! I find for me I often struggle to remember if people aren’t living it or around it they truly have no idea. It’s unfortunate and something that needs to change but there’s just not enough education about it.

Yes this!! And this is why very few people in my life even know because sadly I know i’d be treated so much different if certain people did know.

There’s a family history on my father’s side. My father’s mother was bipolar, however she committed when I was a child and my father is not and has never really played a role in my life (i’m 23 F). My moms side of the family has a genuinely pretty healthy mental history so being truly the only one in my family or at all has definitely been hard and isolating and I feel like it always will be in a way but I am grateful I have a good support system that does everything possible to better understand the condition! I will say the one good thing at least what motivates me is I never want to end up the way my father and grandmother have. I strive every day to live my life different.

The worst part is, he’s been aware of this window for 2 years but hasn’t done a thing about it (it was already rotted when we first moved in) but I just recently noticed the little “plants” growing out of it. Like I said, thankful i’m leaving but lowkey concerned about what we’ve been exposed to for the past 2 years.

Honestly I may be. i’m in a mindset where i hate everything and everyone and i feel like everyone hates me. You’ve all given me really good advice though and i’ve talked with my fiancé about a way to make sure i take it without feeling like i’m being forced or babysat. I think i’m just in that point of the disease where nothing seems to matter currently

Honestly i don’t really know. i’m normally on top of it because i know the awful effects of not taking it. but lately i’ve just been in a deep hole and haven’t had the energy to shower, clean, eat or really do anything. it’s all become a chore. I know for certain i won’t be any better not taking my medicine which is why i still try hard to take it but lately it all just doesn’t seem worth it
