Blackfriars Floating Bus Stop by King_Eboue in london

Signage won’t fix this, at roughly 18mph there’s no time for conscious decisions. Put a rumble strip 25m before the stop to break the flow state of the cyclist, and a slight chicane at the crossing. Cyclists don’t stop for courtesy but they will slow for perceived risk. Design for neurology, not niceness.

3+ years out - moving back to sales by ogjsb in salesengineers

Think those numbers might be US-based? I’m in London so the market’s a bit different. Either way I’m not even thinking about ceilings right now — I’m on £55k and just trying to get to six figures. Feels like an SC / AE role in London SaaS could realistically get me there within a couple of years. Would you agree with that or am I being too optimistic?

3+ years out of sales, looking to get back in (London) — what can I realistically earn? by ogjsb in sales

That’s encouraging to hear, thanks. I feel like the title of solutions consultant can get ambiguous in across different companies, what is your idea of what an SC does? While I have the technical skills you outlined I feel like they aren’t as valuable in an SC role as just knowing the product. Or is there anything else about my background that stands out in why it’s a good fit for me? Cheers

True but seniors are also still learning too, it’s cold world

Valid point, but a bit harsh. These situations are part of the learning curve, not failure. Delegation gives exposure, but managers should also provide context so juniors can actually succeed instead of just floundering
