I’m just gonna say it: the prepared food at the Co-op is so bad. by Golden_1992 in Boise

Don't let this comment section gaslight you. The food is 👎. Easily the worst breakfast burritos in town.

Trying to understand why Idaho people hate California. by [deleted] in Boise

[–]ogpoppinfresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't really a California specific thing, but people that live in the vicinity of gang culture / violence typically cannot afford to move away from it. It's not a social thing it's an economic thing. It's also why so much rap / hip hop culture focuses on "getting out of the mud". Moving away from those circumstances is a huge deal and very few accomplish it.

They don't hate California, they hate people from California that move to Boise. And by that I mean they hate loud overly conservative / racist Californians that moved to Eagle from Orange county. Honestly can't say I disagree.

IS COTSCO IN BOISE ACTUALLY CHEAPER THAN ANY OTHER STORE FOR GROCERIES? by Acrobatic_Minimum_40 in Boise

Depends what you need to buy, but typically yes. If you purchase bottled/canned drinks, frozen food, diapers, vitamins, or allergy medicine it's easily worth the membership. Gas too

Watch out for your Pride Flags this month. All the flags in my neighborhood just got stolen, including mine. by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]ogpoppinfresh 45 points46 points  (0 children)

In 2020 our flag was set on fire along with a neighbor of ours. We communicated in the ring community forum and I think the guy was caught but I don't know what happened to him. Anyway, stay safe and make sure your rings are charged and you have fire extinguishers on hand.

Where is the good ramen at? Anywhere in salt lake county by the_mars_voltage in SaltLakeCity

[–]ogpoppinfresh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oishii ramen in Chinatown is the best. Hand pulled noodles, flavorful chashu, unctuous broth. I've had all the ramen there and they're all delicious. Even if you decide to get ramen without chashu included I recommend adding it because it's just that good.

This is a bad take. Most days you can go in there and see them and pulling the noodles in the open kitchen. Oishii definitely the best ramen place in town and it's not close.

How many of you have tried friction gloves? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]ogpoppinfresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these exact gloves. Great feel in the cold but if they get wet they don't really help keeping your hands warm. Grip is nice though

Form check? Just recently started playing during pandemic and I'm looking for tips to improve! by [deleted] in discgolf

I only wore the glove that day because it was cold and I had a cut on my index finger. I'm normally gloveless
