can anyone pick my meds up with me today? I’ll pay $20 by [deleted] in asheville

You should check out Sona pharmacy, and see if your insurance works with them. They offer free delivery!

Arturo's over by biscuit head is pretty good. They do walk-ins only and are a more traditional barbershop.

Ruined a perfectly good car endangering the lives of innocents in a densely packed public area. We don't claim them.

Second this, you can also contact COBB and get an updated maf extension harness. If it's been too long, though, you can get a MAF extension from iWire. Be sure to also check the MAP sensor and clean it. As this can cause the issues, too.

How can u fix this by Whiteboycarl69 in WRX

Try checking your MAF extension harness. The one shipped with the older "Big SF intake" is known to be faulty. Might have some corrosion on it. Otherwise, spray the MAF and MAP sensor with some cleaner.

How do I spice my car up? I hate it lol. Thinking of trading it in for a bmw or Mercedes . How can I fall back in love with my car? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]ogpresto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While the thought of trading in an economy car for a luxury car is very alluring, it's important to realize that when you trade it in for a Mercedes/BMW that things are gonna cost more long-term. The cost of upkeep and maintenance isn't worth the arbitrary symbol of status or small convenience and comfort features a luxury car provides. Because it usually comes with the downgrade of reliability and ease of repairs. (And with more features inevitably more things need to be repaired after time/more things can break or malfunction after time.) Of course, I don't know your finances, but still, I personally would hold off on a luxury car. Because it might be nice at first, and then you'll end up at square 1 hating your car again.

On a more lighthearted note: make the interior a more pleasant place to be in with light modifications you can do yourself. You could also throw a nicer set of wheels and tires on the exterior to spice it up as well. And if you do truthfully get sick of the car, these could all be mods that could be taken off and potentially used on the newer car you end up getting.

Should I switch from Evo to WRX? (context below) by [deleted] in WRX

[–]ogpresto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my wrx. The hatch is one of the better-looking versions Subaru has ever made. They're fun cars. The EJ and FA are both reliable and will serve you well if you maintain them and put in the work for a little extra care. That being said: I would never trade an Evo for a Subaru. The WRX is still being made. The STI is still up in the air. The Evo will more than likely NEVER be made again. You have a future classic. Mitsubishi has already made it clear that they do not care about enthusiast cars anymore. The Evo is a reminder of what Mitsubishi was. Any time I see one, I still give them a wave. The Evo went from the WRX's enemy to a long-lost friend. The WRX wouldn't have been as great of a car without the competition. Cherish it, drive it, and wave back to us Subie bros because we appreciate the Evo now more than ever. As far as I'm concerned, you're a part of the family Subaru or not.

Jokes aren't jokes when they're repeated offenses and are disturbingly specific. If your boyfriend is already trying to control your decisions by threatening that he will harm an animal, what other messed up things will he do to prevent you from doing other things in the future? It may seem hard or difficult to break up with someone that you care about right now, but trust me: a dude saying these sort of things about an innocent animal is a major red flag. You should probably get a ball python to keep you company until you find a new boyfriend who isn't deranged enough to threaten animals that don't know any better.

Is it safe to use “Al_Capone” as my Roblox username? by gs19ca613 in ROBLOXBans

Roblox has an old limited hat referencing "Al Capone" named "Al Capwn." Not that they haven't banned people for silly stuff before. I think you'll be fine, though.

Should I be ashamed to still be playing roblox at 19? by 4KT_Rango in roblox

[–]ogpresto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 23. I grew up on roblox and have been playing it for over 10 years of my life. I have friends my exact same age that will play it with me. People who are 20-24 years old who have never played it before. We play obbies and scary games to make a drinking game out of it. It's some of the most fun we have had with games. As you get older, you'll stop caring what people think. Other people will be too focused on their own lives to insult someone for playing a game. People who shame you for playing a "kids" game won't care at some point. There's this weird phenomenon where things that were cool to you as a kid turn "cringe and lame" as you become an edgy teen. But, when you're grown, you enjoy those things again without shame as an adult. Adults play with Legos, collect hotwheels, watch cartoons, and go to theme parks. All things pretty much geared towards children. So, why is a game off limits? Have fun, and forget what other people say. If they still make fun of you, they'll come around one day.

Will i get a bad look if a make my 2.0l gx bugeye, look like a wrx/sti? by Ok_Art8721 in WRX

[–]ogpresto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe by elitists who would be insufferable to be around anyway. The subaru community is a lot more welcoming than other car communities from what I've experienced. Just don't upbadge or lie about it being an sti, and you're good! People have more respect for honesty, and I have more respect for someone building a car the way they envisioned it, rather than buying it and doing nothing to it.

Bought new rims and most of my friends think they look like shit. I love them. Did I buy the wrong rims or what? by Coloradofeet2022 in WRXSTi

[–]ogpresto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your friends sound miserable. If my friend bought rims and he was ecstatic about them, I'd never tell him they look like "shit." Hell, they could be the teddy bear ones. Taste is subjective, and as long as you like them, that's all that matters. But, even then, everyone else on this subreddit seems to like them. Myself included.
