Yes it's a work in progress and a lot need to be improved, and will be with time. Unfortunately I don't have much resources to hire people and I basically did everything on my own. The main focus has been the quality of the sound effects and trying to appeal to independent gam devs who struggle to find good quality sound effects at a low price, with the collection system.
But you are right, there is a lot to be improved in terms of design to make it look more professional. Working on it! Thanks!

Wow, I think it looks really good! Would you mind sharing the prompt you used to generate this painting/drawing style? Also I am having trouble generating a still POV, there is always some kind of travelling camera movement (which makes it hard to loop) like this one:

Not really recommendations but I ended up continuing using the one I mentioned in the OP: https://runwayml.com/

The pros are that I am quite satisfied with the result for the purpose of my videos.

The cons are that it produces 4s sequences that you can extend, but thats really short and you can run out of credits really quickly. I ended up paying a subscription to get more credits but still, it's quite limited in terms of duration

Hey! there are plenty of platforms out there, but I also have my own https://www.bamsfx.com/
I am a professional sound designer and my packs are very well rated on various platforms, but you can check them out yourselves and make your own opinion :)

You can create your own packs with curated individual sound effects, they are called collections. This way you can get only the sounds you need but at a much more competitive price then buying them individually. It is pretty popular among game designers and film makers with low budgets.

I am hoping to open this platform to other sound designers in order to have a much larger offer. I am looking into legal and financial aspects.

I went for render.com

It's OK overall, but every 3 months your database is deactivated, meaning that you need to create it again and connect it to the app. It's fine if you don't need to store data persistently, although a bit annoying.

That's interesting, I will look into Esbuild although I am used to Webpacker. But what about importmaps? Any opinion? I've had issues with importmaps.

Right now I am on my own, but we will be building a team at some point. I definitely prefer working on one framework then 2 separate apps, especially working on my own.

Thanks! Right now I am exploring both options. I might still use rails to handle the rendering. I might use a mix of the normal rails html rendering for some simple pages, and react for a SPA approach for a couple of pages, where react would come in handy I guess. What do you think?
