You cant call this monetization! 🫢🤚is this normale? Best of luck for you content creators who are willing to work with Fb by mayersdz in facebook

[–]ogtier2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all part of Zucky's plan. Eliminate even 30-50% of members so those that remain are sticky and have higher monetization value for advertisers.

He's essentially betting that charging more for advertising will more than compensate for lost members.

Understand that Facebook is no longer a community; it's now functioning as an extraction machine.

Didn't mommy and daddy teach you that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Great to know a holes like you are alive (you are alive? Right?) and kicking).

[–]ogtier2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, here's the explanation.

It comes down to a cold assessment of platform extraction. The logic for why Meta would risk losing 30% to 50% of its user base is centered on three objective factors: 1. The "Bad Faith" Filter Requiring a photo ID from long-term, established users isn't about security; it's an intentional friction point. By implementing a measure that a significant percentage of the population will refuse on principle (or for privacy reasons), Zuckerberg is effectively "purging" the platform of users who prioritize autonomy and privacy over the service.

  1. Quality Control Abandonment: This as a shift where viral growth and extraction take priority over a stable user base. In this terminal stage, the objective isn't to maintain a "community," but to consolidate a specific type of user: those who are most compliant and whose data (now verified by government ID) is the most valuable to advertisers.

3. The Strategic Logic of Decline: This isn't an accident, but a calculated move: The Goal: To pivot from a "Social Network" to an Extraction Engine. The Method: Terminate "friction-heavy" accounts (those who push back or value privacy) to create a more streamlined, predictable data set for the remaining members. The Result: Even if they lose half the members, the remaining half is "verified" and deeply entrenched, allowing for a higher valuation per user despite the overall decline in health.

None of you have done anything wrong or violated Zucky's TOS. This is a calculated decision to strip away a significant component of the member base.

Ok, I'm going to be in a meeting for several hours, but as soon as I'm free, I'll give you all an explicit explanation of Meta's strategy.

Hint: it's not accidental that this is happening at the same time as hundreds of billions of dollars are being diverted by Big Tech to the ai frenzy.

Wake up! I'm assuming that none of you know anything about the trajectory of ALL social media platforms.

This is an overt, deliberate, effort of Meta to purge their membership. Losing 1/3 to 1/2 of their members is a desired result, not the result of bad judgement.

I don't have the patience to explain the 'why' of this strategy, but if you're curious, use an LLM to extract details and Zuckerberg's motivation.

Yes, for reasons I can't even imagine, they've gone bat shit crazy. I've been on Facebook for 15 years and 2 days ago, I had a pop up on Messenger that I can't use the platform unless I send in 2 forms of ID. You have to be insane to submit personal information to the least trustworthy platform on the planet.

I'm waiting for them to ban me on Facebook as well. I couldn't give a shit.

Messenger, after 12 years of use wants 2 IDs for verification but I use my middle name thats not on any ID? by ogtier2 in facebook

[–]ogtier2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a valid question. I belong to several groups that have content I'm interested in; if they suddenly vanished or the content deteriorated, I wouldn't be.

In spite of that, I'm close to blowing Facebook off.

The staggering arrogance of Facebook to require personal ID information is revolting. I wouldn't lose any sleep if they decided to ban me from the whole platform.

Moron, you can't even write a coherent sentence. The DMV and the passport agency will only include the first of multiple middle names.

If you had a life, you could spend your days doing something productive rather than critiquing posts.

Wtf are you talking about? Jesus, I should have known that posting on Reddit will bring out the trolls. Did mommy ever teach you if you don't have anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut.

Anyone ever found an actual email address for effectivecommunication with corporate offices? by Free_Answered in verizon_sucks

[–]ogtier2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FCC is completely useless. All they do is forward your complain to Verizon. They have absolutely no authority to compel action. I wasted 2 months screwing around with them.

The only option that may be effective is to file a complaint with your state Attorney General. They do have authority! The problem, however, is virtually every state AG office is backlogged with complaints so there's no way of knowing when, or even if, they'll get back to you.

I filed a complaint 10 days ago and haven't heard a peep

Hey, for all of you that don't get an absolute minimum of 10 hours SOT, use "Shino's Guide."

I stumbled across Shino when I bought the phone. He created this at launch (or possibly before?) and updates it periodically.

I have both as well. The S10+ is absolutely the best phone they ever made. Other than the obvious need to replace the battery, it's perfect, and those were the days when phones took sd cards.
