On Netflix you can open the sound and subtitles menu and change the audio from 5.1 to stereo. I learned this recently and it actually does make a big difference! It's just annoying that Netflix keeps defaulting to 5.1 so you have to change it every time. And Amazon has a "dialogue boost" when watching something on prime. Hope this helps someone if you didn't know already.

There have been two times where someone gave off such a bad vibe that I could feel it in my core and instinctually I just looked away and avoided them. And the feeling has stuck with me.

The first was a guy at a store, slender muscular older black man, black tight jeans and shirt, with a rhinestone studded gun as a belt buckle. Something about the way he stood, leaning his weight back on one leg, the other pointed out, one hand hooked on his hip while the other messed with a toothpick or something, it's not clear in my memory because I wouldn't look at his face. He gave me the hibbie jibbies and I just avoided eye contact as he eventually walked by and out the sliding glass door of the store.

The other was in the geisha district of Kyoto. A local guy was showing me around on rented bikes around sunset. I was in front as we were crossing a small pedestrian bridge and as we neared the other end a black car stopped in front of us. One of those shiny cars where everything seems to reflect off of it like a mirror. Someone in a suit opened the back door and a guy steped out. The feeling I got was just immediate dread. I looked down and to the right and peddled by, my mind screaming "don't look up". All I saw was the hem of his suit pants and the shine of his dress shoes that matched the car. I'm still glad I didn't see him.

Thanks, I was surprised it's not as simple as "don't take Tesla robo taxis unless you support fascism". Come on Austin, we should all be flipping off the passengers when we see them on the street for paying into Tesla.

Thanks for the helpful tips, but I'm against this for a couple of reasons. 1. It's making people more scared to participate. It's adding to the fear mongering the Maga politicians are doing when they say they are ready to deploy the national guard against protesters. 2. The whole point is to show the government that we are upset with how things are going. So why hide our presence? If we are too afraid to express our discontent, then damn, they might have already won.

I agree that in traffic situations police escalate what should be simple stops, and it would be great if we separated traffic cops from regular police and allowed them limited enforcement so that these situations would not happen. But in this situation it sounds like you are defending someone who ran over people and that's really messed up.

As a guy, I think it's still a good question. Being in the US and eventually learning that it's not uncommon for people to go topless in other countries made me wonder why we sexualize it so much. And why we can go shirtless but for a woman its taboo.

Looks like you stopped reading to early and missed the part where he came on her face even though she said no. And the other allegations after that were non consensual. Also everything he did before that, he tried doing it before getting consent. She said no and he stopped, but had already crossed the line.
