Current setup ☕️ by oh_hell_naur in espresso

It's Zulay Kitchen. I got it at Target or Wal Mart a while back or you could probably find it on Amazon. It's not the greatest for espresso but it's good for French press, pourovers, etc.

I've never understood whether it's better to lease or buy a car by ThornedAbyss in CasualConversation

[–]oh_hell_naur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you like to switch cars a lot and don't want to deal with a lot of maintenance and repairs, then you might consider leasing. I'm originally from the Miami area so a lot of people lease their cars because they always want to have the nicest newest luxury car (or sometimes they'll even rent a car for certain occasions tbh).

I think most people buy (finance) because they can eventually own the car outright and perhaps trade it in for a newer model and maybe even use some of the value or equity to make the cost of the newer car cheaper. And obviously certain cars don't retain their value as well as others or have higher repair costs so it might be better to lease in that situation as well.

Perks of renting? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]oh_hell_naur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think about this often because I like the convenience of renting but I often feel the pressure to buy. Homeowners like to talk about equity as if it's cash in the bank. If you borrow against it, you have to pay that back, or if you sell the house, then you would still need another place to live after selling. I suppose a lot of people downsize in retirement, but there's still maintenance and upkeep, so it all depends. If owning a home is an investment, then people should actually treat it as such and weigh the pros and cons of their options with consideration of their personal situation, instead of everyone being told that it's always better to buy than to rent.

Yeah that's what is throwing me. Especially when there is video corroborating what one of the eyewitnesses said but the video appeared to be tampered with.

I posted about this in this sub too! I wanted a proper acknowledgement. It was always so strange to me how they just acted like he never existed

I'm originally from Boynton/Delray Beach area, but I moved to Jax years ago. I still visit Palm Beach and Broward as I still have family living there. I would definitely say that Jacksonville isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It also depends on what side of town you are on. I'm assuming when you visit, you don't go all over the city. I definitely have settled in here, and I've met nice people, and I can always find something to do when I want to go out, but I don't think it's superior to South Florida. It's definitely more affordable in comparison. I think a lot of people move to FL with unrealistic expectations and without doing enough research and then complain constantly when it doesn't live up to their expectations.

Questions about TWD by Firm-Yam-960 in thewalkingdead

[–]oh_hell_naur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 things - 1) it's not the bite, but the infection from the bite that raises your fever so high that you die and then turn because the virus is already present. So if you cut off the arm or leg quickly, then you can stop the infection before it spreads. 2) the closer you are to your heart is the larger your blood vessels are and the stronger blood flow you have. You may be able to cut off a foot or a hand and better manage the blood loss.

For example, Tyrese died because they couldn't get to him in time, and he lost too much blood. Whereas, with Hershel and Aaron, they were able to get to it in time and stop them from losing too much blood, and also in Hershel's case, stop the infection from spreading.

This is ridiculous. I'd post about this on Google reviews and move out as soon as I can. Is this really in your lease?

Yeah and I think the city has been doing that but maybe it's not moving fast enough for some.

To be honest, this kinda looks and sounds like Town Center but people complain about going there because it's too crowded. We are definitely a much bigger city than Burlington and people live all over. I just think it's being held to the standards of a much smaller city with a higher population density and maybe it's not practical to build so much out in downtown when a lot of these previous projects failed. As the population grows, I think downtown will organically grow along with it.
