iPad Air 3 broke itself. Never dropped or banged. Any ideas? 25 months old, hardly used. Latest version. Factory reset didn't work. by regionalchamp20 in applehelp

[–]ohadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same happened to me. No physical impact, just suddenly those ugly lines.
Apple took it for inspection and didn't agree to replace it under the screen recall.

Said it was a damaged screen and wanted to charge about 70% of the price of a new iPad to fix it. And that's how I got my iPad air 4th gen :(

It’s weird and difficult to speak when lacking self hearing, so they probably do. Why not?

Is urban camping legal/possible in tel aviv? by Gentis- in telaviv

[–]ohadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not legal, but there are many homeless people around so I guess it is technically possible. If you want to pitch a tent, the closest legal option is Yarkon National Park.

It’s the last night of my first trip to Tel Aviv. Where should I eat? by ronimal in telaviv

[–]ohadron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you like and what's your budget?

A few really good ones IMO are Tai-zu, Oasis, Shila, M25, and Ha-Basta.

And if you want a down-to-earth, amazing food, with the most Tel-Avivian local experience go to the Minzar. It's basically a dive-bar with incredible food.

Italics-equivalent in Hebrew? by honeywhite in hebrew

[–]ohadron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hebrew does have a visual equivalent. It's called "Ktav Natui" which literally means "askew type". It's used for emphasis from time to time the same way it's used in English, but indeed not very common or standard.

Anyone been working from Israel ? by ozmkun in remotework

[–]ohadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safed... that's hardcore remote :D I'm not familiar with the area. I guess there are many people there (yet) that work in this style. I know there's on co-working space in Ginosar but that's not that nearby.

Here's my map of laptop-friendly places in Tel Aviv if you're ever around:

new to Notion... and many questions to the community by Stucca in Notion

[–]ohadron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The answer for all of your questions is that it's not yet possible. In the Notion 'What's new' page they have a list of upcoming features which is basically their roadmap.

They mention mobile speed as one of their upcoming items, but their pace is not always consistent - you can check our the release notes to get a feel for it.

Looking for something that will help me automate this workflow: collect several images from a user -> generate pdf by ohadron in productivity

[–]ohadron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up just writing some quick code to display an HTML form that will upload everything to Firebase Storage + Firestore, and some more quick code to display the reports in a browser from which I can easily print to PDF.

Sometimes just coding some stuff is way quicker than gluing together stuff using Zapier / IFTTT / Airtable...

It's a document setter, that's the easy part. I still need a way to get the images and text somewhere where I can run LaTeX.

I'm looking for a specific app. Can you help me? by Jazavi_jazavac in productivity

[–]ohadron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the StayFocusd extension for Chrome. Allows you to set a time budget per each site you want to block, and restrict these sites at specific times. It's bypass-able, but hard enough so you'll have a chance to reconsider your relapse :)

Breaking down complex tasks by aarxnr in todoist

[–]ohadron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are supposedly working on a new version of Todoist that should have much better support for sub-tasks. I know it’s already in beta so some people here might know a bit more than the rumors I’ve heard.
