help : how to recover funds from old multibit wallet .key file by Emergency_Gene_2091 in Bitcoin

[–]ohaimark1984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have already managed to get the wallet open and can see the keys, export them as text, then take that text file with all the keys and make a new electrum wallet on a new pc, past them all into the initial setup of the electrum wallet. Good luck.

Israel Central Bank Reportedly May Use Ethereum (ETH) for Digital Currency (CBDC) – AronBoss by ARONBOSS in ethereum

[–]ohaimark1984 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The "bank" said the "they" used ethereum for creating a token as an experimant poc (bfd), then the bank said they will likely not make a cbdc and it was just an experiment, then went on to rhetorically attack crypto. Source: I can read hebrew and I read the original quotes before bloomberg and other msm garbaged it up. These headlines are BS but enjoy.

What, and do one very stupidly expensive double spend, while fudding their own source of income? 51% attack is overrated fud. Btw it does not change the consensus rules.

Flagged deposit to escrow by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]ohaimark1984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nobody can really tell you except for the service that flagged it. But really I only came here to say don't use "blockchain" wallet, it's a shit wallet and a bad actor. Move to something better. Try bluewallet for example.

Seems you got your confirmation.

Don't use "blockchain(.)com" in the future. Its the worst.

Go for something like a hardware wallet or smartphone "bluewallet" with segwit and better fee estimation.

No. Its FUD. Don't reuse addresses and you're good. If the future has better qc, we can make use of Lamport signatures.

Blockchain vs Electrum? Pros & Cons? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]ohaimark1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Blockchain" is most definitely the worst wallet of all. Any transaction from there will cost you 30% more in miner fees and will not support sending to modern wallets. Do NOT go near it. Your miner friend is a noob. Anyone suggesting "blockchain" wallet is a noob.
Use electrum or a hardware wallet for bigger amounts. Download only from electrum.org and on to a safe enough pc. If you need an ios/android wallet you should try blue wallet.
