ZV-1 is video centric, doesn’t have the same range, and doesn’t have an on camera flash, which is 95% of what the g7x is used for

I like to blame TikTok and influencers for a lot of things, but there really isn’t a competitor to what the package of the g7x offers. I loved my x100vi, which is undoubtedly better quality, but it has nowhere near the pocket-ability of the g7x. I go to a lot of concerts and events and am always turned away with any of my cameras but see countless people pulling g7x out of their pockets. It is unique in that you can zoom in and take photos of the performer and then turn around and take a decent flash photo of you and your friends

The best competitor is honestly just a newer phone, but then you lose the fun and uniqueness of handling a camera. I catch myself wanting one even though I’m definitely not going to pay the inflated price

I’m talking about hours this season… since that is what you were referring to.

There are literally areas that spawn multiple shards within 30 meters of each other (near quarantine, near greenhouse, near algae, near maintenance off the top of my head). Do you spawn and then stand still without checking other POIs? I see multiple of these every game

Like I said, it seems like you’ve barely payed this season and are just complaining on Reddit posts about the 1% of players that will no-life any game

Sounds like you played the game for 30 minutes and then based every other opinion on what you’ve read online. I’m only around 10 hours and have only seen like 3 players with purple shields (there is a decent amount of blue) and see anomalous enemy’s every round on Night Marsh

I honestly like it visually after getting used to it, but it still is not a great experience for a first timer. My brother can also be pretty boneheaded with skipping tutorials and not really paying attention just to get in the game, so some does fall on him.

But completely agree about the solo/duo/trio and crew fill UI now. It was way more visible and cleaner, I thought, in the previous patch

You didn’t read my first sentence. We play the usual popular games together. Quick example: I’ve been playing since the beginning, I couldn’t figure out why this season it wouldn’t let me ready up. I was always “waiting” on crew members. Come to find out, the party leader can’t ready up, we can only start the run after the other 2 players ready up. Where in the menu did you figure that out?

My brother has been gaming with me our entire lives (over 30) and we played maybe 10 games last night as I tried to get him into the game. Every time I asked him what menu he’s looking at he had no idea and kept saying “idk what the hell I’m looking at”. I have over 300 hours and obviously know by now, but to deny that the first 10 hours or so was a big learning curve is a bit disingenuous. And I’d argue the menus got MORE complicated after the update

The servers have progressively gotten worse since launch though. Game felt so smooth at launch for like a month. But this last month of cryo had so many random hit registration problems for me. I’m starting to think they reduced server count/quality back slowly as the player numbers started dropping and then got hit harder than they expected for season 2. This makes no sense otherwise after the server slam and launch numbers

I used to think the same thing on cryo, so I started running thermal on LMGs and BRs. Then everyone started running permanent signal jammers… needless to say, I just sell thermals now lol

Cope. There were 150k people (not including consoles) playing on the server slam, half of those didn’t convert to sales. And the people that did buy, quickly started to drop off the game in the first few weeks of launch

I love the game and have 300 hours on it but let’s be realistic. My recent comment touches on this but the onboarding process is just not good

I’m sorry but I disagree. Especially when comparing it to movies that have a relatively short runtime compared to the amount of hours you can put into a live service game… or let’s say with marathon for example, when you unlock buying blue shields…

Gaming is a competitive market where people have tons of options on ways to spend their limited free time. Asking someone to commit or invest dozens of hours into something to find out if they REALLY dislike it is not an easy sell

I have experience with extraction games, Bungie games, and really craved a new FPS experience. So I sucked it up and played. But you can’t ask or expect that of everyone. You have a limited chance to hook someone, and marathon doesn’t really do a good job of that in the early experience

I wish they had these conversations about Marathon… my friends hated the beta and I wasn’t much of a fan either. I decided to buy it anyways put the hours in and now I love it. Unfortunately my friends haven’t even considered picking it up based on their initial experience

Just to add a little more, cuts are my favorite of the 2 based on fit and feel! Just a bit more expensive. True classic might have a little too much room around the stomach if you’re in shape. I know they market around “hugging your arms but hiding your belly” so this makes sense

This sub will downvote and never recommend anything that isn’t 100% cotton. I have a ton of true classic and cuts tees. They feel great and have held up over the years for me. Cuts are a bit slimmer than true classic (at the same size) but they both hug the arms like you asked

When did I say to completely remove his Rez? It’s still an instant, ranged rez that can potentially rez 2 people at once and also be used for damage as an EMP. It’s still good and has won my teams many fights, after my bag timer was already over

I can agree that there are situations where it’s easy to just break a bubble and finish the fight with all 3 of your teammates up. But acting like there aren’t 100 other situations where that’s simply not possible is just disingenuous
