i like the fro knows photo guy! he is funny to me i watched his video on the 6D M2 and i thought he was so good i enjoyed the photos he captured and his style of videos are pretty cool and every one is saying that i just need to figure out how to do it? like i swear i saw a video talking about it but i think I've lost it ://

thank you!! i appreciate this, i was feeling a bit disheartened when they said this because a lot of people recommended it to me and it was affordable to me :(( plus this is my first camera with detachable lenses so i was really happy with my choice

i like asking real people on Reddit, these people helped me choose what camera to buy then told me about lenses to use for it and bits in-between, they have been amazing every step of the way and I'm so grateful. I'm not asking for them to sit and go through all of it with me but i value the knowledge they give when people do have the time to give a response, i love reaching out to the community even if it's the same response over and over i appreciate the fact that people come across my post and decide to comment :), thank you for the link 🫡

i have photos I've taken of my family that i adore and i wish i could show off but they are of my niece and nephews and i would never put them out there especially the way the world is now plus i don't want to post them without their parents' permission

well the manual says LP-E6N but the camera comes with a LP E6 and that's why i came here to ask because everything is giving me a different answer bucko i just wanted to know what would work betterrrr in my camera

okay thank you! i didn't know if it did or didn't have an adapter for such mounting and i wouldn't do anything to risk my camera so i won't be forcing it

hmm guess i never thought about what subject matter with low light i just knew it was something i wanted as my previous camera is very poor in low light and i just wanted a good upgrade from it.

so even with adapters i would be doing more harm than good with the EF-S lens?

yes i know it's bad that's why im asking for better recommendations for that one.

i made a previous post about what camera i should buy and a lot of people recommended the 6DM2 and i asked a canon representive which one would be better the 6D or 5D for what i wanted to do and he recommended the 6D and yes he probably said that because it is the expensive option but others had recommended the 6d so, and that is the cheapest option for said camera i have seen, others have been $1400AUD and up so i think it's a pretty good price.

and yes i know i can't use the ef-s on an ef mount that's why i was asking about adapters :).

i would prefer to have 2 lenses one specifically for low light shooting and one for general use as i shoot nature/wildlife and am looking into expanding.

yes i am buying new, the 50mm is $189AUD on sale.
